I think if he shaved his legs he would run 30-40s faster in the 5k.

Man, that hair is terrible.
He looks like a office joke hair plug guy.
Nah, he's 30 yrs old and over the hill. Time for him to get a real job...
He doesn't look to skinny, he just looks super fit! Looking forward to when he adjusts to the training. Usually takes about a good year to really adjust to big training changes, unless you're Salazar, then you just pop some thyroid meds and let them do the work.

Seriously? Let me go out on a limb and speculate that you're a 40 something year old virgin trying to explain your new rug to the ladies.
This would be a nice athletic look for him:

Looks 50 years old with that toupee on.
The light that burns twice as bright burns for half as long - and you have burned so very, very brightly.

if people are asking if you are too skinny, you have weight to lose. if people are confident you are sick looking, too thin, and probably have an eating disorder, you are likely ready to tear it up. he's almost there, and as someone said, he's holding onto the business end of the race until about 1K to go, so he's close. 3-4 more pounds.
You must be a real hit at parties/with the ladies, huh?
Sometimes you have to choose between the ladies and your running career. Not sure if you can have both ways when you are distance runner.
people on here bashed him all the time for lifting to much and being to muscular. webb himself said his decline started when he lifted more and put on 5+ lbs. of upper bodyweight. which way do you want it webb critics???

I pointed this out in a previous thread. He has lost significant muscle mass. This is NOT good.
I think Webb looks fine, and as long as he sticks with it, he'll be back.

Both of you are wrong. Losing hair and gaining it back is possible, and it is not "environmental stress", but alopecia, an auto-immune condition that causes hair loss- sometimes it grows back, sometimes it doesn't. Runner Dick Buerkle had it. It doesn't affect anything except your hair.
For those concerned about his hair, he most likely just got a hair transplant. They are pretty common and if I had the extea money to do it at the age He went bald I would've too.
Speaking seriously, as talented as Webb is, with adequate rest following a heavy training block, he could drop 20-30 seconds on his recent 5k. Rest and confidence are as important as training.
Ghost of Igloi
he has many problems, but of them definitely is changing coaches too frequently.
but, why didn't webb ever go back with scott raczko?
Maybe Webb should pair up with Brad Hudson.
whoa something looks wrong with him

I wonder what the other guys now on top of the US scene think of him and his struggles.
I wouldn't say "too skinny" here, but he does look like he has about 2% body fat in that photo.
Going by some of his quotes, he really does still enjoy running and the sport and wants to keep at it to Rio and perhaps beyond.
It's good to see that courage.
