I believe Asbel Kiprop's 3:28.high 1500 from last year in Rieti is the highest quality 1500/1600/mile performance since 2007 (and likely earlier).
Before Kiprop went 3:28.high - Silas Kiplagat had run 3:29.low for 1500 a couple years ago which is probably the second best performance in recent history.
Per IAAF tables:
3:28.05 = 3:44.55
3:28.54 = 3:45.08
3:29.03 = 3:45.60
3:29.52 = 3:46.13
3:30.01 = 3:46.66
3:30.22 = 3:46.89
As far as Kiprop's performances - he went 3:49.high winning the mile at Pre Classic in 2010 but I think his pr is 3:48.x from earlier in his career. As far as other sub-3:50 performances I cannot say.
Kiprop ran a couple of those races in Europe - London and Oslo.
my bet is either that's the weight of the jockey or they left off a zero.
Your Mom.
Do we know for sure where Kiprop ran those races? Because the OP makes it clear that he is restricting his claim to races run on the planet Earth. Does anyone have any proof Kiprop ran them on Earth?
Race horses typically go about 900>1100 pounds.

That is right, no one on Planet Earth has run a faster mile than Alan Webb SINCE he ran 3:46.91 on July 21st, 2007!
Congrats!!
There's a thread on here where the track and timing system is suspect at that track.

There's a thread that the Stanford track is short too, as well as the Rieti one. Oh, and the Beijing Pool is only 49.4 meters long as well.

A-ha! Check any records from those track as well. Has the timing failed at Stanford and Rieti?
You may be trolling but to clarify so the wrong idea isn't spread, that thread established that the timing/track weren't wrong, video cuts/angle switches make hand timing the video come out to slower than the actual time
WEBB IS A GOD!!
Remember that race I think at the pre-classic some years back when Kiprop blessed himself, he did the cross and preyed about 3 or 4 times down the home stretch and ran 3:49 or 3:48
The one I ran on the moon in 3:35.87 converts to 3:46.52 though
Could Ritz, Hall, Webb have been on Epo during HS?
Alan Webb is a true American hero...no one has overcome such a horrible case of androgenic alopecia, while setting countless American records, and running the fastest mile in the universe during the past 5.7 years. For years people thought, "is there a baby alien growing in Alan Webb's forehead?" or "I wonder how many McDouble's Alan ate prior to this disaster of a race?" However, he proved us all wrong in 2007 when he emerged from his disease ridden cocoon with a glistening head of hair and a fire for the track that had every message board on Letrun.com singing his praises. He destroyed the Frenchmen ,Meedi Bahla, in Paris, sprinted down the old man himself, Bernard Lagat, whilst screaming, "I AM THE ALPHA AND THE OMEGA. I AM ALAN WEBB" during the 2007 US Championships, then proceeded to shit himself during worlds, and he has been shitting himself ever since. He is the picture of consistency...God bless you Alan Webb, and God bless America.
