Can you say Kobe , can you say Tiger ? Time will pass , Lances troubles will pass , he will come back into the fold in some shape or form.
I have been approached about doing one, thank you. Considering it.

Damn, Moe. You should really write a book on the underbelly of the sport. You seem not to give a sh!t anymore.
Phil Knight is a "win at all cost" type of guy. This is how Nike got started and has become a mega giant. PK has a huge respect for athletes that think like him. Take a look at the names of the buildings on the Nike campus and you will see a group of incredibly successful athletes that will do whatever it takes to win. All of these buildings are named after "win at all cost" people that are willing to lie cheat and steal to get what they want. This is an attitude that is respected and admired. No one is suprized that Armstrong took drugs or that Joe PA had pedophiles on staff or that Tiger Woods is the worst husband ever or that Alberto took drugs. None of that matters if you win.
I hate that attitude. This is endemic in our society and others, but not all winners play by the game with that attitude. It seems a cultural disposition that has a "win at all cost" attitude need a better moral compass. I personally would like to find my inspiration elsewhere.
Oh yeah? Stu stu stupid is worse than moleting!

Man you just can't fix stupid. ...at least there is still a chance until your mom kicks you out.
Right.
Not the sweatshops filled with child labor in Asia. But associating with one of thousands of athletes who has used performance enhancing drugs
I don't get it with people who argue this stuff. If Phil Knight didn't represent athletes who cheat he would have no athletes. Don't you get what this Lance Armstrong outing means? It's not that it's so God awful that he did it and got caught. It proves that doping, PED's, whatever advantage you want to throw in the bag is pervasive in sport...all sport. Get over it. Lance was dirty...duh! If you EVER, for a moment, thought that that man was clean...you do not know sport. SPORT MIRRORS SOCIETY. Society will do whatever it can to get an advantage. I'm not saying it's right. I'm not saying that any of it is right. It just IS.
It makes me sick that everyone is throwing rocks at a man that did what EVERYONE else in the sport was doing. I mean...he wouldn't have won a single Tour without the drugs...not one. He made a decision to be a force on the Tour and went down that rabbit hole, and many, many people knew he was doing it, and praised his victories and celebrated right along with him. As soon as it comes out that he was dirty.."How could he?", How dare him?", "He has deceived us all". Whatever!!! Watch the NFL playoffs this weekend. At any point during the broadcast take one of your chicken wings and throw it at the television. It will hit a PED user, and the sauce will splatter on 5 others who are using. But we don't care about that because it's not a "performance" sport.
I don't condone cheating. I wouldn't do it. But I know why people do and I don't throw s*&t at them when they get busted. They danced with the devil and got caught. A lot haven't and we are still singing their praises.
Bruinboy has it down. When Al Sal, Galen Rup, Kara Goucher get busted, we'll all freak out again. Duh. To compete, folks cheat. It's wrong. They do it any way.
NFL linemen are 325 pounds and have fast 40 times and excellent endurance. When they finally start getting busted, we'll tear up that we trusted them when they said they were clean. They lied! Of course they lied. You would too, you douchbags! They have to cheat to compete and you have to lie to cheat.
Phil is like a few other key higher ups in sport right now. Lance is coming clean and he is a loose cannon and he fears Lance could spill beans on how much Nike was involved in his "cover-up."
Why do you think Nike has not filed suit to recoup all the money it paid Lance as fraudulent and to send a message to other athletes not to pull this kinda crap? Because they can't piss on Lance and have him spill beans.
Who worked close with Lance last several years while Mo and Galen achieved their greatest success? Hmmm, none other than Alberto who is widely known to have used drugs himself. Lance gave Alberto the keys to beat doping and anyone closely watching would see this. That's primarily why the whole Oregon Project group has been so quite.
With all the big sports icons that have fallen in the past few years it wouldn't surprise me one bit if the biggest scandal ever were to hit as Nike is exposed as the corrupt mega company that has not just overlooked its dopers but actively pushed it to achieve the ultimate success. Nike has sent many athletes to see drug docs and coaches in all its sports. Nike has always taken an approach much like Lance and their arrogance is going to come back to bite them in the butt just like Lance. Now the only issue with this occuring is that could track and field in this country survive without Nike's money. So this alone might result in cover ups by groups like WADA and USADA despite overwhelming evidence.
It totally makes sense. Do you think Nike wasn't aware of the doping? It behooves them to pay what amounts to hush money to keep Armstrong from tatting Nike's knowledge out of the scuttle-butt!

Thanks for the link, should have posted it with the thread, maroon.
At this point Phil Knight has seen so much, and lived so long, he wasn't going to pile on.
Oh wow, you are just making a bigger fool of yourself as each day passes, who knew in the end you would make the NOP and Nike seem more suspicious than before you entered the debates regarding these.
First of all, your whole statement is nonsensical, idiotic, and delusional.
Over the past 5 years I have posted more non published information about Salazar and Rupp, that was later verified in published articles and interviews that I am absolutely confident that I have complete veracity on matters Rupp and Salazar.
As for Phil Knight's "never say never," who knows what was in his head. His big connection -- to those that followed it -- and read up -- with Lance was philanthropy/Livestrong. I believe early on PK was a skeptic, and when Livestrong worked, and took off, PK was impressed. I also read it as PK has indeed seen so much in his life that maybe someday a path to redemption of both Lance and Livestrong was possible. And I personally hope that happens, so that all Lance has harmed personally can be made whole, and that if Livestrong does do good as an educational and support resource...that it can continue. God knows people with cancer need all the hope and inspiration they can find.
And unlike the cynical buttheads on this board...I prefer to hope for something positive out of this, like clean sport, and healing for all those affected.
In my world, those of you who come on here and post lying shite about people, those of you who post bad faith, mean spirited lies, over and over again... You're just as bad as Lance at his worse. You're right in his wheelhouse. Which means it sucks to be you, cos you gotta live with that after you log off.

And equally embarassing that all the Nike athletes in Portland have been silent about the situation. The rest of the world has an opinion but no one in Salazar's group.
Seriously? As if there isn't enough coverage on the Lance scandel. No one media wise gives any f***'s what some skinny distance runners have to say about the subject.

Assuming they actually are doping, is there any chance they will ever be busted?
You don't live in the real world. First off, I'm a hopeless believer in people and haven't once posted lame theories about NOP or others without substantial evidence that points that way.
Secondly, nobody remembers or cares about your insider information when you are posting 7 bitter and idiotic replies in a row, where most of them argues for NOPs innocence with incredible bad arguments.

them

Get your act together.
Phil Knight, Lance Armstrong, Marc Bloc they are all good mates and they are all laughing at us while reading this thread right now.
