Let's not forget about all the lives he destroyed to protect his lie. Who is oing to make those people whole again? When Lance does that then I canbegin to appreciate his efforts to raise $$$ for cancer research. Until then he is a scumbag.
I'm still a fan just because the Brojos hate him.
Everybody else was doping too so it was a level playing field. That said, 7 times is amazing. He didn't cheat. He did what he had to do to be able to compete with everyone else in the field. I'm still a fan.
He was the best doper out of all the dopers seven times. Not bad. How many titles do you guys have?
where there's millions of dollars at stake, even a 1% increase in performance can mean the difference if the tour de france lasts a total of 87 hours.
posters called it. even if lance is proven to be a cheater, liar, douche, and thief, the fanboys will still admire him.
these are the types of people who are drawn to him like the joker's minions in the batman movie.
After all his intimidation and subterfuge, now he's going to testify against others. You admire that?

Hilarious. Moronic.
Why would Armstrong risk scuttling his career with a decade-long conspiracy, to gain a "trivial" benefit?
The answer is of course that the benefit is massive.
LANCE ARMSTRONG IS A GIFT FROM THE ALMIGHTY HIMSELF! ITS OBVIOUS THAT LETSRUN.COM HAS DISPISED LANCE FROM THE VERY BEGINNING OF TIME ALONG WITH THE FRENCH. THE MOST TESTED ATHLETE IN THE HISTORY OF SPORTS! NEVER ONCE COMING UP POSSITIVE. BU GET A BUNCH OF JERRY-RIGGERS AROUND AND YOU CAN MAKE ANY INNOCENT MAN LOOK GUILTY IN THE EYE OF PUBLIC OPINION. HE HAS SAVED THE LIVES OF THOUSAND OF DIEING CHILDREN THROUGH HIS CHARITY. THATS RIGHT, ITS CALLED "CHARITY". TRANSLATED IN THE WORD OF GOD AS "LOVE" IN CASE ALL YOU HATERS STILL DONT GET IT. EPO IS A JOKE AND EVERYONE KNOWS IT! ANYONE CAN TRAIN AT HIGH ALTITUDE AND GAIN THE SAME EFFECTS TO WIN RACES AT SEA LEVEL. SAME THING, SAME RESULT. UNLIKE THE "ZEROS" THAT JUST GOT CANNED BY THE BASEBALL HALL OF FAME. STEROIDS PUTS A WHOLE NEW SPIN ON PERFORMANCE. YOU WILL ALWAYS EMBRACE HATE FOR LANCE BUT WOULD JUST DIE TO HAVE ONE NIGHT WITH SUZY FAVOR HAMILTON. YOU BUNCH OF HYPOCRITES! LANCE IS AND ALWAYS FOREVER WILL BE THE GREATEST ENDURANCE ATHLETE IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD AND YOU CAN DO NOTHING ABOUT IT. I LOVE THE MAN. I LOVE HIS HEART, HIS MOTIVES. "WHY PICK OUT THE STICK IN HIS EYE WHEN I HAVE A LOG IN MY OWN" SO SAYS THE GREATEST MAN OF ALL TIME; JESUS CHRIST OF NAZARETH. PERHAPS YOU ALL SHOULD LEARN FROM HIM. WE'D BE A WHOLE LOT BETTER SOCIETY.
He lies for years and holds out to make a confession to Oprah? What a pu#$y!
..And this guy's suing for a noble reason? Check this out before he became a "Crusader"......

"Released by his team and threatened with the removal of his Tour title, Landis went from winning the most prestigious race of his career to being unfairly labeled as a cheater, a liar, and a doper."

I have has many Tour titles as Lance, zero.
To those that continue the "everyone was doing it" charade. Yes, doping is rampant in all sports, but it doesn't make it ok and if everyone was doing it, why did Hamilton and White feel the need to apologize to all the clean riders?
lance is a gift from the ancient gods of cycling he can do anything on a bicycle or unicycle for that matter he also may or may not have his original testicles

BS. Renato is right, EPO thickens the blood. Taking it when you don't need it is just stupid. Cyclists do lots of stupid things.
Tomorrow morning, I'm going to get up at 4:30a, run three miles, and then shower. Go to work, possibly stop at a donut shop. Around 7:30a, I will call the house and tell my kindergartner to have a great day. Work for the man for 8 or more hours, and then trudge home to do it all over again the next day.
In the next span of 24 hours, what Lance Armstrong did to the other cheaters in the Tour de France will have had zero impact in my life. Zero.
Ironically, or coincidentally, I get them confused sometimes, the impact Lance Armstrong has/had on me is the same for just about every other poster on letsrun.com, yet some of you carry on like he stole food out of your kids mouths.
Athletes cheat. Get over it.
Let me start by saying that I'm not a cycling fan or a Lance fan.
However, the man never tested positive. I'm sorry, but those were the rules everyone was playing by. Unless the USADA and other groups are going to go on a multi-million dollar multi-year hunt for every other cyclist then it's just complete BS because we all know most of them were doping and would be found out as well.
I just hope people take time to educate themselves on the chronology of all of this. Yes, he was a cancer survivor, but he got the cancer a few years after he used PED’s.
Although Livestrong may have done many great things, we missed an even greater opportunity to educate the public on the potential health risks associated with PED’s. There may be no proven correlation to the use of PED’s and his cancer, but had we known of his PED use prior to his cancer, I think the cycling world would have taken the PED use much more seriously. The “everyone’s doing it” argument would not hold water.
As a result, his popularity would not have risen to the level where he has followers who will think he is great no matter what he does.
Lance should just go away. We should learn from his many mistakes and help clean up cycling, track and field and most other sports we love to watch and participate in.
Lance is a great athlete. Nobody denies that.
The drugs help a lot (or enough to make a significant difference at the highest level). If the drugs did not yield major advantages, then there is no way most of the top riders in Lance's generation would be risking their entire careers and livlihood to use them. Athletes weren't just doing it because everyone else was doing it. They experienced a strong benefit.
Lance had a big jump in performance in a single year during his career. It is hard to say if he would or would not have had that jump without the drugs. Maybe he would have contended for a clean stage win here or there in the Tour without the juice. Maybe that jump would have happened without the juice. Nobody will know and shame on dopers for cheating themselves and all of us out of the truth.
As all of us non-Olympic level runners know... the truth is all that matters. We squeeze the best performances out of our bodies using training, diet, strategy, experience. At the end of the day we are satisfied knowing we did the best we could with what we had. Why else would we do it?

Not true. Most Cyclists do whatever the other guy is doing and that includes whatever drug is the current fad. And in many cases they are actually given the stuff or coerced into using it.
Some basice science, EPO thickens the blood and slows heart rate. So how does it deliver more oxygen? Nobody here can give a real scientific explanation.

When We both followed the rules of the game, which is to compare when we were both clean....We had as many titles as he had.
"He was the best doper out of all the dopers seven times. Not bad."
That is absolutely correct. He was without a doubt the best cheater of all time in cycle and perhaps in all sports combined.
The real sadness here is that in this society some people think that's a good thing.
