It's ok for Hasay to lose a race, but not Hollander?

Cornell taking third in the NE region. All I heard was people say they were a lock to win it. Guess not. I don't know I thought it was shocking based on how they've been racing.
Didn't somebody (like Kellogg, maybe?) project Cornell getting beaten at the Regional?
Anyway, I heard that they'd been fighting some illness--was already affecting them in their conference meet, though they still won that handily.
Also, for whatever reason (coincidence?), it seems like over the last couple years they've had their biggest performances at midseason, then tailed off a little--illness/injury/whatever.
I'm used to Hasay losing races....
Didn't Hasay win her region?

I was at this meet and the Heps as a spectator. I couldn't see any sign of illness at either meet but it was evident they weren't nearly as aggressive early on at the Regional meet as they were at the Heps. Maybe that was by design since they were so likely to advance and they decided to run controlled. You would have to ask their coach. I'm not sure they ran badly: three runners in the top 15, and all three of them ran pretty fast despite not being with the lead pack at any point.
Either way, not sure why anyone would be surprised that Providence would win. Kellogg was clearly right although this wasn't hard to predict. Without Sisson, Providence was only 1 point behind Cornell at Wisco and both teams were top five or six at that meet. With Sisson they are a podium team next week, at least. Connecticut may have been the real surprise for those that don't follow things closely. But when you look at them, they added a real star (Crevoiserat) for Big East and regionals. She didn't run at Wisco. They likely would have been top 10 at Wisco had she run. They were very impressive from their first runner to their fifth on Friday. That program has come a long way.
I think these top three Northeast teams will be very competitive at the NCAA. And Boston College may be a sleeper to be in top 15 if they run well.
Nick Willis had the same surgery in 09 and has had a pretty good run the past 3 years since.
