Talk a little trash, play a few head games, no problem. Go for it, adds a little something extra to the race. Maybe start another rivalry, need a few more. 1500 should be a fun race to watch.

Seriously, Jason what the hell. You don't hear Webb, stember or any of the other guys shooting off their mouths. I for one was pulling for Lunn to run well, but now I hope he gets skunked and takes 4th again.
You are a good example of why so many interviews come out the same,"I just want to do my best and blah, blah, blah. If an athlete actually says something, it gets twisted. The article says that Lunn has tremendous respect for Webb. Just what were you reading? The SAT's are going to be rough on you.

I haven't read the article yet, but based on this thread I see nothing wrong with Lunn's comments. Let the races begin!
What are you smoking? The article is re-printed in this thread. Have you not read the thread? If not, why would you make a comment about it?

THC,
If that's the entire article, then I have read it.
I was at the press conference. I thought Lunn was very gracious when he spoke to Webb. Our recap of it appears here:

Also I even wrote about how offbased this thread is:
I totally agree with Lunn. It very well might be one helluva' final.
Monty
Thanks for that. It is amazing how skewed an article can be when the journalist only inserts a few quotes from the actual interview.
I have know Jason since high school, and he has never been the arrogant and cocky person that some of the posters are trying to make him out to be. He is confident and competitive (as all elite runners must be)but he also has a deep respect for his competition.
Why do we consider Lunn and Webb even a rivalry. Webb is the world's fastest miler.
Too bad Robison is maned.

Exactly, they are not even on the same track.

You little shit, read rojo's comments for people like you on the main page. You stir up shit and then everyone has to put up with the stink. Your buddy Webb will probably win but he doesn't need this kind of help.
Is he really an anti-semite? I'd like a link to that story. At any rate, Webb can float into the finals with 58 second quaters. He'll be the only one with fresh legs. Lunn will be lucky to catch him five seconds after the final is over -- or just in time to kiss his ass and call him pappy.
Get of off of Webb's jock, what are u his bitch. If ur not in the race shut the f*** up.
