What about the Oregon project guys, they were different than wheating's and manzano's
they were just wearing victorys with snazzy colorways.
these shoes were actually out at last years wc, surprised people are bringing these up now.
in response to lagats, its the same shoes he's been wearing since 04, just with a flywire upper. its the miler plate thats just been cut back.
the deal with the victory elites is that they are rumored to be under 3 ounces with the full length carbon fiber plate. the upper isnt flynit, but a nice mesh upper with dynamic flywire.
the original flywire was commented on as being good at the time but needed work. there were actually a few people saying something along the lines of a "mobile" flywire would have been better than the plastic-coated nylon (the consumer version).
there was actually rumors floating around on various other sites that this version of the victory was supposed to be the original victory and the one we have released currently was the prototype. what ended up happening was the victory prototype was released instead of the dynamic version as it allowed nike to make money and have more tricks up their sleeve for the next olympic cycle, essentially making the victories a "sneak peak" to get people wanting more.
in response to the people asking about mambas, nick symmonds, who has been a long time fan of the original mambas, posted on twitter saying how these new victories have "converted" him and that nike did a great job with them.
