Pouring rain.
Pouring rain.
That live blog looks like it's going to be good. Whoever is running it is aware of the Galen mask situation (not wearing it), the Teg armwarmer situation (is wearing them), and the pace Ritz needs to run (66.59 second laps). Thanks for posting.

Annnnd they are chasing the Standard already, not joking around.
Rupp leading 64.xx through 400 with Ritz right behind. Strung out already
Gun is off. Rupp to the front. Ritz right behind him.
1st lap. 64.65. Announcer siad 65 flat but it wasn't that slow.
Runners are single file already.
This is gonna be a man's race from the gun.
64 first lap....pouring rain
they've remarked that the plan is for Rupp to pace Ritz at least through the first half, as expected.
Rupp in the lead, ritz right behind him (after 1:38 first 600)
2:13 800
2nd lap was slower 68.3. 2:13 and Ritz takes over right at 800. We have our answer. they are going to share the lead.
Puskedra is now third. True is 4th.
2:13 800m rupp, ritz, puskedra

Rupp and Ritz right to the front.

65 first lap, 27:45 is 66.59 per lap.
Friday June 22, 2012 10:00
Already a single file train at 600 meters. No fooling around.
Friday June 22, 2012 10:01
Rupp, Ritz, Ben True, Puskedra
2:13 at 800, 68ish lap.

Announcers are stupid. 67 first lap? Uh, try 64. 2:13 at half with Ritz now leading. Exchanging leads. HUGE puddles on the track in lane one.
Derrick in last
67.8 on lap #3 for Rtiz. That's too slow. You basically need a 66.5 to get the 'A'.
Weather is 58 degrees and a steady down pour almost zero wind.
at the mile Puskedra is taking it over the lead!!! 4:28.0 at the 1600.
4:30 gets you 28:07 so that's kind of close.
CHirlee in 5th
positive - tom hammond just called ritz ritzenhein instead of ritzenheim like he has been doing for the last 10 years.
negative - we never get a 1600 split
GIVE FLOTRACK THE COVERAGE. We want to watch the race not bits and pieces between long commercial breaks. Ridiculous.
comercial.......1600m prob will be 4:27ish, ritz leading
Too friggin' rainy in Eugene. Take the trials back to Sacramento!!!!
Where's Derrick? With the pack? I have a feeling 3rd place isn't going to be True or Puskedra. Some guy with the A (Curtis, Derrick, etc) will kick away for 3rd. Or may even take Ritz. The only lock in my mind is Rupp.
