1500m/1600/mile times don't always translate to good cross times, so my XC pre-season lists always focus mostly on Cross times from the previous year, and only a little on 1500m-mile times.
The hope being that the guys that focus on the 1500m/1600m/mile in track either run a couple decent 3k+ races during track or were good in cross last year (and if they weren't, they probably aren't that good in cross anyways, or not good in championship races, in which case they probably don't belong that high on the list anyways)... it will miss guys that only run 800-mile in track and missed state and post-state cross country meets, though.

Just wondering who the top juniors in the country are. We all know of Cheserek and Bernie montoya. Who else? What will footlocker XC look like next year?
Jack Keelan from Illinois ran 8:55 this year, but at Arcadia so take it for what it's worth.
Also, isn't Jacob Burcham a Junior? I know he's primarily a mile guy, but's he's still very good at XC.

Burcham was terrible at XC this past fall.

I wouldn't say he was terrible. He just ran too well too early, and wasn't doing as well at the end of the year and so he opted out of post-season races.
He still won state, and still ran 15:00-15:05 twice.
Look out for Dan foster, heard that kid is going to be running 15.20s In cross this year
Leingang from ND has ran 8:51 and 4:10 already tis year. BOOM.
Chez (Foot Locker Q)
Berrinie 4:08/ 8:49
Jake Leingang 4:11/ 8:53 (Foot Locker/NXN Q)
Jacob Burcham 4:08/ 9:00
Jacob Thomson 4:10 twice, 8:58 twice (Foot Locker Q)

Who has all gotten invites to the Nike Elite Camp?
Jacob Burcham went 8:57.73 in the 3200m tonight at the WV State Meet. Only went out in about 4:30 first four laps, negative split by about 3 seconds. I had him at a :58 last lap as well.
Carl Hirsch from Brookfield Central, WI
1:55.9 (early in the season), 4:11.88 going 2:07-2:04 alone, and third at Griak last year in 15:43/44

Sean McGorty 14:54
Jacob Thomson 14:55
Jake Leingng 14:59
Andres Arroyo 14:59

Jake Leingng 4:10/8:51
Jacob Burcham 4:08/8:57

and you can't count guys like Andrew Gardner out even though he hasn't been at some of the big meets. 4:08/9:01
Nick Ryan runs 4:09.XX at 1600m in FM's Sectional Championship tonight.
Nick Ryan wins the 3200m at NYS Champs in 9:03 last night, and comes back this morning to win the 1600m over Za'Von Watkins (who won the 800m yesterday also), 4:05.24 to 4:07.24
Thomas Madden: Won the 3K at Penn Relays, correct? Has run sub-9 in the 3200. Won VA AA State XC meet last year.
Sean McGorty: 4:09 1600, 9:05ish 3200 and 14:54 in XC. Consistent runner, real healthy, look for big things from him. Maybe 14:39?
