I myself didn't attend any of these schools, but as a professor of higher education at a fairly well-known graduate program, as well as someone who had a previous career in a finance/business field (albeit short-lived!), I can say I know a large amount about how these schools are viewed by those granting admission or employment.
My rankings are purely academic, and remember... these are all fine institutions!
Here it goes:
Amherst/Williams (Really too close to call)
Bowdoin/Wesleyan (Slight edge to Bowdoin)
(Decent dropoff)
Middlebury
Tufts
(Large Dropoff)
Hamilton/Bates
Colby
Trinity/Conn Coll
Tufts may have been the victim of its size and incongruity in the NESCAC, and is arguably more academically respected than Middlebury, but definitely short of the Wesleyan/Bowdoin tier.
