No, I suspect a dean of a seminary would know thousands. I just know a lot of clergy.

Maybe it gets better once you're older and have an established client base, but those first few years must suck.

What you just described reminded me of my 2 year tour in executive/financial head-hunting...awful. Any time I threw a happy hour or party (with non-networking intentions) everyone suddenly thought I had an angle. Was happy to return to the boring world of accounting without the sales pressure.
I heard that a marmalade salesman is the happiest job in the history of modern today,
Yeah, I'd say a teacher of any kind. I'd be ecstatic to have >4 months off per year, get out of work at 3 pm and collect a healthy paycheck, pension and benefits for life. Oh yeah, throw in absolutely no accountability for your work and tenure to boot! What a farce of a job.

I believe investment bankers are the ones doing god's work.http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=newsarchive&sid=aqPYJqlCzOHoI think headcount is down since Lloyd Blankfein took the helm at Goldman so I don't know that he counts as a job creator.

This guy makes a good point about the presidency.
Likewise, being a member of the Beatles carries a statistically high rate. I'm not sure I would include it, though.

I would add being a 'fluffer' for the porn industry. I'd be happy!
I'm going to throw my hat in the ring, because I'm pretty damn happy: Academic Advisor (at a college/university)
- Quality of life is great (lots of vacation, paid week off at Christmas, very low-stress work environment)
- Aside from academic dismissals / probation hearings, I mostly tell college students what classes to take and get and undeserved amount of credit when they graduate and hit dean's list.
- In the Spring and Summer terms, my lunch breaks have traditionally consisted of walking around beautiful college campuses
- I think Jimmy Grabow would agree with my sentiments above (http://www.letsrun.com/forum/flat_read.php?thread=4417876)
Of course, it isn't the best with regards to salary. I'm topping out around $50k, (from what I've read, the average LRC visitor earns about $250-300k)... but there is always a tradeoff.
you are obscenely delusional if you think your statement represents the work experiences of teachers at any level, k-college prof.
Why aren't you a teacher then? Are you happy with your career as a troll?

I'm fresh out of undergrad, I work in financial services. It's terrible. Should I quit, or is this simply reality post 22 years old?
