Who else is at NAU next year? Are they going to have a strong team, or will that have to wait for a few years from now?
My boy Caleb Hoover did just fine as a Freshman in cross last season, scoring for the team at NCAAs.

Is he as good as EC?
Close friends of Futsum said it was only between Butler and NAU. Pretty obvious really... he was thinking about staying local and Butler is 5 miles away from his home. Why would he ever go Purdue over Butler? It's further away, and they have been destroyed by Butler at regional champs the past two years, and don't graduate ANYONE for the next two years. Butler a 10 times better program then Purdue. Period.

Truth.
And that's the same I had heard, too.
Futsum has made a great decision. His brother will be great for him out there to help in the adjustment to a new environment and collegiate training. Also, I did hear rumors that he was feeling pressure to stay close to home and that is why Butler was in the picture, but from what I hear (true or not), Butler was in his top five but not one of his top 2-3 when the decision was made. This is coming from very reliable sources who are close to him and the program.
Either way, the decision has been made and it was a good one. He goes to a reputable program, a great coach, and has his brother there. Also, watch for at least two more Footlocker guys to head to NAU next year. Excited to see how his career progresses both in cross and on the track.
Edward Cheserek will be there after next year.

What makes you say that? just the fact that they're friens? That's stretching it a little don't you think? After Cheserek wins Footlocker nationals programs like Oregon, Stanford and Colorado will throw surely go after him. Although NAU is a very good program, It's not in the league as those school mentioned. If NAU landed Futsum, it's probably because they have his brother and that played a huge role in that. Don't think Cheserek will pick NAU over those big time programs. NAU is known for developing good runners into great runners like Lopez Lamong, Diego Estrada, and David McNeill. They're not known for attracting Foot Locker finalists. This is new territory for them.
Roomers that Matt Mcelroy 2nd at footlocker is transferring there from Oklahoma State.
