Because we all know you cease to be American after you turn 24...
No one cares about an NCAA indoor mile title. Don't get me wrong its a good goal to keep the developing collegiates in shape. Indoors has its purpose. I always ran better outdoors when my indoor racing was at its best.
It has a function. For the top guys its racing during a training period and keeps you sharp and gets you fit for a period of better training in March-April right before the important season starts.
Seriously though everyone forgets about the second its over.
I also think so.

I guess you never won a NCAA indoor championship. I know someone who did and it was an enormous accomplishment for them, both at the time and years down the road.
I would agree that the outdoor meet is even more prestigious to win. But to say, as you did, "no one cares about an NCAA indoor title" or that "everyone forgets about it the second it's over" is very much off the mark.
indoors is not NCAAs. outdoors is NCAAs. indoors is optional at most schools.
One of the guys that place has a 3:40 PB. Webb should have entered that race and won. It would at least improve his confidence.
Folks, maybe Webb's injury was more serious than we were lead to believe.

THESE NCAA TYPES ARE THE ONES WHO HAVEN'T STARTED USING DRUGS YET.....
So Matt Centro Jr. is on drugs?
1 & 2 at NCAA Indoors, and not NCAA Outdoor Championships. Many kids don't run indoors. Indoors is optional for the Cali PAC-12 schools and So Cal schools.
