Why not just stay with the Kinvara? Why do you have to go with NB?

These shoes destroy my feet. It feels like I'm running in dress shoes with a 1 inch heel that digs into my heel (between my heel and the arch). It feels like there are too different densities of foam.

I tried to give the shoes to a friend, but he complained of the same thing. I wanted to like them, as there are a number of features I like (e.g. the shape of the toe box and the cut of the heel) but they hurt even if I just walk around in them all day.

ps I regularly run in xc and road racing flats, so this isn't a matter of just having weak feet.

The Onitsuka Tiger G-9 racing flat.

If we start enough of a groundswell, maybe ASICS will resurrect it.

Thanks all for your input. Anyone else have any thoughts on the original post? The NB 630 looks pretty good but I cannot find any reviews anywhere. Has anyone tried it?

I have the 730. It is a good shoe and I have been using it for track workouts but is to minimal for my every day runs at this point.

Thought I'd put in a word for the Keen A86. It's supposedly a trail shoe but I use it on the roads and really like it. I can't find out exactly what the heel drop is, but it feels pretty flat and has some cushion. Is light, too, somewhere in the range of 7-9 ounces but I'm too lazy to look. I ran 30 miles in them today on asphalt. Has asymmetrical lacing if you're into that. Seems to work fine.

Have ordered a pair of Kinvara but haven't tried them yet. Have just heard about the NB 730, too, and it seems to be worth a try.
