Not a big deal for Centro...he predicted 7.40 - 7.45 coming to race.
Fitness spot on.
AMERICAN COLLEGIATE RECORD, dumb@sses... 7:45 by Heath just misses Rupp's 7:44 as the AR CR. Two distinct records.
wrong heath bro
New PR for Mad Len. His old PB was 3:57.99 outdoors !

Garrett Heath finished his NCAA eligibility about 2-3 years ago. Now who is the dumb one
Hall beats Rowbury and Simpson in 3000m.
1 MESERET DEFAR ETH 8:33.57
2 GOTYTOM GEBRESLASE ETH 8:46.01
3 SIHAM HILALI MAR 8:46.17
4 SARA HALL USA 8:54.75
5 SHANNON ROWBURY USA 8:55.06
6 LIZ MALOY USA 8:58.30
7 JENNY SIMPSON USA 8:58.70
Defar won 3k by a long, long way. Simpson was a disappointing 6th beaten by both Rowbury and Hall
My mistake: Simpson was 7th
And as per usual, the JBS lovers at Flotrack have already started to defend her. Be prepared for another long video where she explains why she crashed and burned.Hall, Rowbury Maloy then Simpson #NBIndoorGP Jenny went hard from the beginning, wanted to win #nohate

the girl in second had a birthdate listed by tilastopaja as january 21st 1995, so she just turned 17 if she was american she would probably be a junior in high school and she beat 4 of our very best runners by 8-12 seconds, wow
that deserves the letsrun black page.
Nice run by Hall. I would like to see her make the Olympic team in something. Most likely the steeple.

Interesting logic. He's 1.16 outside his own predicted range and you declare his fitness to be "spot-on"? Obviously, he himself would not think so. Can't recall, but are you the same nitwit who said this guy was "on a completely different level" than Cam Levins? All this guy (Centrowitz)has proven is that he can kick off of slow paces over 1500m. Based on his age, he should be given credit; but, he is far from a complete athlete at this point. In fact, at this point, he might well be the most overrated distance runner in American history. You are, after all, the nation of Ryun, Scott, Lagat, Spivey, etc.

It's early February. Why don't we give the USA women some time before we start getting too excited or nervous about their opening results.

fair enough, i was more marveling at how good the girl did, i do pick barringer to get gold in 2012 and rowbury to break 4 and make the team, and hall has a good shot to make the team, malloy is very good.

Comparing results to UW last week, the Gebre girl would be right with Kipyego, and Flood would be mixing it up with the U.S. Pros. Youth on the march...
