Shalane in 8th... Kenyans 1-4 Went through 5k in 15:45!
Defar and Melkamu looking very strong. They could take it in the final sprint.
Kenyans taking turns to lead. Clipping off sub 3:05 km splits now. Masai looks like she's jogging.
Defar dropped!
Defar and Flanagan dropped. Melkamu looking good.
all the talk about who should have or should not have gone for US was moot. We are nowhere.
Kipyego!!! Go!!
Defar is done. She's completely finished as a medal contender.
They just said Defar dropped out
Masai stringing them on. Pace slowing down. Will come down to the final sprint.
Melkamu uner massive psychological attack.
Shalane Flanagan finished 7th (?) in 31:25
31.2x for Flanagan. subpar race.
KENYAN CLEAN SWEEP. 1-2-3. VC destroys the field.
called it on page 1
Kenya 1-4. Domination. 6 medals available and all 6 gone to Kenya....
Did the announcers screw up? Wasn't that Kipyego fighting for the lead? She got 2nd right?
Last 5k in 15:01. Kipyego got 2nd.

epic epic race coming in less than 24 hours!
Letsrun preview:
http://www.letsrun.com/2011/womens-10000-0825.phpI think this race will be between Defar, Vivian, and Melkamu. In my opinion the brojos are underestimating Defar. She still has the WR in 2 miles and a 10 000 m PB of 29:59.
Vivian Cheruiyot has talked a lot of talk this year. She seems to think she will be the next great thing. But so far she has not shown it. However, with a 14:20 5000 this year, this could be the race she comes through!
Thoughts?/discussion!
Kwelioooo,
You MIGHT want to reconsider your statement.
You owe Vivian an apology.
She puts her money where her mouth is.
Vivian is in CRACKING form. If she keeps it up she'll be tough to beat in London. Kipyego is such a revealation and Masai is still class. Last time she won because she worked hard to take the sting out of the kickers. This time she didn't put in that much work, but glad she came out with a medal.
