He looks like Jeff See and looks to have simlar talent.
Speaking of WV - what were Steve Taylor's PRs back in the early 80s?
I believe Jeff See broke Webb's sophomore class record--ran 4:06 and change for a full mile and is the current record holder

Too lazy to look it up, but didn't Craig Miller beat See's record? Or did he just miss it?
He looks like Jeff See and looks to have simlar talent? That's hard, See is hella ugly :-)

He is
The way he ran these races impresses me so much. It takes a lot of confidence to be able to hammer the pace so hard with 1200m to go in a 3200m.
I noticed that he was in the 4 x 400 as well. He won 3 individual titles and took 2nd in the 4 x 400. Wonder what his split was.
That's an awfully impressive quadruple over two days.
Sub 4 in a couple years?
No official split, but several unofficials were between 49.9 and 50.5 for the 4x4. So average that out, that'd be a 9:11, 4:08, 1:54, 50.2 quadruple.
That's the 800 finish. Burcham is on the right

ouch.
at least doughty's team won the 4x4...
btw that's doughty with the EPIC superman dive...losing by .02 seconds.
I'm sorry but this is WV. Kind of like a third world in america. (Fact: one of the poorest states) Are we really sure this is a 16 year old kid???
Yeah, but Cabell Midland, his school, hardly fits that mold, I think. Big quality program.

While that might be true, I would think it would be even easier for a rich school to pull off a deception like that.
14 combined Men's XC/track titles for Midland since the school opened in 1993
Look at that Midland jersey. I think its called Nike Xcellerate or something like that. They are not cheap. My school used 15 year old uniforms that were faded pink.
Did a quadruple last spring as a frosh, ran the 4x4 (I don't know his split) but ran 4:14, 1:56, and 9:20 all in one day (in addition to the 4x4). Probably all within a few hours. Ran low 15's a few times last fall in XC. Finished high at NXN's. This kid is good enough to take down Alan Webb's 3:53. If he stays healthy until then and doesn't jump off a balcony, he will certainly go sub 4.
Never thought I'd see a dive top Christian Smith in the OT '08, but I think this one does it.
