Yes, lets bring back the old models at the old price...but then, would you want to have the income you had back then?
Tom
I've worn stuff going back to the Onitsuka Tiger days, and for me it's the Nike Ekiden, hands down. I wish I had six pairs of those Bad Boys.
Best flats ever:
(1) Nike Ekiden from 2000-2001. Fit like a glove, ran my PR 2:18:27 in them, as well as my 5k PR of 14:17. I had a White/Red colorway of them. I wish that I had bought 10 pairs back then. I bought 3 pairs, and still have 1 pair hanging on for dear life. Catherine Ndereba used to wear a kind of Blue/Yellow/White version of this shoe.
(2) Adidas Cubato
(3) Adidas RATS Racer. The kind with the silver wire mesh in the 3 stripes.
(4) Asics NYC Racer.
(5) Asics Wakihurii Racer.
(6) Adidas Neftenga
I look back on these shoes and remember how much they beat our legs up. I look at todays so called "new trend" of minimalist footwear and smile.
I remember the complaints and bitching, truth told its the reason we started to develop more protective shoes.
This new generation of runners does not know the history of how we got to where we are today with over built footwear. History will repeat itself as it always does and the new shoes of old will prove out once again they suck as daily trainers.
