Very impressive race by Huddle. I am glad to see her racing to her potential.

I would literally bet my life she is clean. Awesome.
Great job.
As an American track and field fan, I think we can all thank people like Molly for sticking with the sport, and giving us great performances like this. A few years ago (1990s and early 2000s), it seemed like a lot of the top American talent-wise washed away and gave up on the sport. Nowadays, we seem to be tougher mentally and more resilient. Our top talents stick with the sport. This is excellent.
The other lesson learned in the past couple of years is that world class performances require crazy natural ability and lots of injury-free training. We all love the Hansens team, but most of those types cannot be world class. Similarly, Webb and Ritz might be super talented but tend to have inconsistencies.
one sign of ped use: getting dental braces in mid 20's to mid 30's.

Holly Muddle won't beat Kim Smith though.
there is absolutely no way that she is not clean. I watched her run in high school and her form is nearly perfect and she is just an incredibly talented athlete. In my opinion I thought she would be running these kinds of times years ago. She is easily one of the most gifted runners I've ever seen. Just goes to show you what literally years of hard work without any major mishaps will do. Congrats to Molly and I hope to see her go faster.

Why does it always take so long to unearth this talent then?
I'm sorry; if it were a Russian or Kenyan gal everyone would be crying drugs.
I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if she is doping.
Progression jumps like that at an elite level are fishy.
mouth grows together as you age, so braces in 20s/30s is not uncommon, aside from hgh.

Fixed your comment. Nobody ever cries about Kenyans. They're all as clean as a whistle.
less than 1% of the adult population wear dental braces. 7 members of the santa monica track club (carl lewis and leroy burrel included) had braces as adults. when flanagan set american records and won her medal she had braces. el g had braces during the height of his career. the list continues. ped may improve performance but they also mess with the basic elements of the body, including bone structure.
2008 - A creditable 23rd place in the World Cross Country Championships to start the year. Gained the Olympic A standard in the 10,000m at the Stanford Invitational. Finalist in both the 5000m and 10,000m at the US Olympic Trials. National 10k Road Champion. 2007 - Molly set a lifetime best over 5000m on her first comeptitive season in europe. Finished 3rd at the NCAA championships and a creditable 6th place in the worl championship trials after showing her fearless approach to racing, by going out with the fast early pace set by Deena Kastor. Placed 4th in the national 5k road championship.

So does she have braces?
Through 4000 m, then she and Twell started to drop off. They were maybe 3-4 sec back from pack at 4200 m.

Wish I had seen the race to see how long she was with the first group. Sally K (14:38) got yet another PR and the young Twell did as well (14:54).

Poor coaching, injuries, and missed opportunities are the usual suspects. An improved diet and a little less weight can make a big difference as well.
Molly's training with Ray Treacy's group in Providence and had very good things to say about it. It's worked well enough for Kim.
You people are total boneheads. Today's race was equal to about a 30:55 10K. She ran 31:17 in 2008 so while this was a great race it certainly does not indicate improvement from PED use! She finally had a string of 2 years of not being injured which hasn't happened since high school. This was what led to her success - along w/ great training/coaching.
Congrats to yet another top female with New England affiliation . . .
