I'm surprised that so many people call Manzano inconsistent when we have guys like Krummenacker who DNF almost every time out. At least Manzano has the courage to finish the race when he is having problems.
post race interview. Will see what he does at the continental cup, but im excited for South Korea next year. Cook has done a good job peaking athletes for big meets (Flanagan, Rowbury).

Krummenacker is usually a paid rabbit now that hes past his prime.
It is uncanny how Manzano looks and runs just like Joe Falcon did in the early 90s. They are almost identical in size and have the same efficient stride. Like, Falcon, Manzano will probably break the 3:50 barrier.

He kinda knows that

Very simular indeed, although Leo has more speed and Joe had more endurance at this stage of their careers.
Leo has shown himself to be competitive with anyone in the world. Sure, it wasn't a 3:31 or 3:30 race, but after Gateshead I'm sure people were saying the same thing about a 3:32 race involving Leo. His PB keeps going down the more competitive races he enters, even as the races are not particularly well set-up or paced for good times. No one discounts Asbel Kiprop's medal chances or prospects in 3:29 or 3:30 types races because his PR is 3:31, so we should quit the double standard with Leo who clearly has the chops to beat almost everyon.
Think about 2012- there are going to be some very fast Americans who DON'T make the team! I hope Leo makes it. I like the guy- he's tough.

This 3:32.37 for Manzano is comparable to Joe Falcon's 3:49.31 in terms of conversion of times. Now if Manzano can stay healthy, perhaps we'll see what Falcon could have done if he'd stay healthy. I am not sure if Manzano has the endurance potential that Falcon demonstrated, but he sure has shown the middle distance tools...
Hey F'tard! This is one of the dumbest posts i've ever read. Manazano staying healthy and improving has nothing to do with Falcon, or what he could have done if he'd stayed healthy. Please go the F away and be an F'tard somewhere else.
