Bolt seems to be the victim of excessive late night partying. He may have let his fame go to his head. Two/Three chicks at the same time maybe?????

So, do you not understand what I'm getting at, or are you just trying to win some cleverness points?
I don't understand what you're getting at. Gay has won big in a championship year before, and he has plenty of experience beating Bolt. It's exciting to see him do it again after a few losses, but he's been here before.

But his point is that Gay was double World Champ in 2007, BEATING BOLT at 200m for his Gold in that event.
Yeah. Just assume my post has this (apparently not) obvious footnote:
- Usain Bolt has tremendously elevated his game since 2007, as everyone knows. Therefore, saying Gay has beaten bolt in WC competition before, while true, tends to come off as deliberately disingenuous when discussing upcoming world championship meets.
Bolt's arms look bigger than his legs.
The slow motion replay revealed something:
Bolt was definitely trying. His face revealed that. You could see the desperation in his eyes as he realized not only was he not walking down Gay in the last 20 meters; rather, Gay was actually pulling away.
I felt almost sad for Bolt during introductions. He's come a long way since his Beijing "not a 100 runner" to worldwide mega-pressure to perform every single race (for Puma, for the fans, etc.).
It almost seemed like he was forcing his once naive and joking pre-race poses. It wasn't like it was before. There's nothing funny about the starting line for him now. He's got millions of dollars on the line each time he hits the track.
Props for giving the fans a show. Bolt and Gay both showed up to the line in a non-Olympic year and raced. They had no real incentive to do this. Bolt had everything to lose and Gay had everything to gain. Gay looked calculated, as always, pre-race. He was ready to win.
A major thumbs down for holding the gun so long and two stand-ups.
No champs = no drugs.
Running what he did today in a race that goes 9.84, where the winner already lost a race this season over 200 m. is like running a 4:20 mile when you are a 4:00 miler.
So other than Leo Manzano and his yoyo tricks you basically have to have something drastic happen.
Options.
He ate bad yams.
Or
He is under close scrutiny and not risking the juice right now.
Or he had an off-day.
I do agree about the whole persona seeming a little forced today...and yeah, I felt for him too.
Immediate post-race interview w/ Bolt.
Yeah that makes sense because when he ran his WRs at the biggest track meets possible he probably was not under close scrutiny.
Does everyone here have alzheimers? Bolt has been injured the majority of the season. Lets see gay beat bolt at something that matters. Bolt says kiss the golds bitch

You must be a Jamaican crybaby.
You are only as good as your last race...
Yeah, because Gay hasn't had any injuries to slow him down.

There isn't anything you can say that can make you not look like an idiot from your first couple of posts. Nice try, though.

To me he sounds like the only person with any sense!
Bolt has been injured, he was obviously honoring his commitment to run here and Gay was far hungrier. It wasn't that mush of a surprise to me that he lost. If it was the other way round, everyone on here would be offering Gay excuses and putting a positive spin on it.
Why are people saying this proved Bolt was on drugs or is finished? Are these people in touch with reality? I would suggest it's far more risky taking peds at or just before a Champs than in a Diamond League race in a non Championship year.
When asked after the race by the BBC if this result had significance in the grand scale of things, Gay replied "No!" He has the sense to realise that while a good result for him, and good for the sport in my opinion, it is ridiculous to start writing Bolt's obituary based on one race after injury.

They can take any result and use it as evidence for their preconceived conclusions. It doesn't matter if they run fast (must be drugs), slow (they had to get off for this race), consistent (must be on drugs to perform so consistently) or inconsistently (must be fluctuating their drug intake). All roads lead to one place for them.
I agree
Gay ran a fantastic race
Was particularly impressed with how Gay said he wanted to beat Bolt when he was running well. That shows the class of a true sportsman
exactly. and with the new tests developed, the dopers might
get caught!
Yup when gay had injuries he got shat all over while Bolt was out breaking records and winning championships. Enjoy your 15 minutes tyson.
