I knew 75% of the people in the stands last year and there are a lot of Jamaincan wanna-be's. The majority of them are pure New Yorkers and come in with some green and yellow on, jumping on the band wagon. If your that interested in going to the meet get on line Monday morning and purchase tickets. All you do is make excuses ticket prices too high, all Jamaican, ect.. If you want to go open your wallet and buy a ticket. It will probably be sold out in a week or two with the Bolt-Gay-Powell match-up.
I spoke to one of the ticket managers about this.
Apparently there are a very limited number of these $250 Diamaond Level Premium Seats. Kind of like a VIP area for someone who isn't really a VIP.
Finish Line Seats are $75. Up from $60 over last few years. A $15 premium over last year to see Bolt and others? I'd say that is quite a deal.
Looks like other sections are up a little as well year over year. But nothing major. $20 seats still available as well. Again, looks like a price point for just about everyone.

Sorry Wejo, but $275 is just plain pore planning.
Not expecting much of a turn-out. Even if they have Bolt. This ain't the cowboys
I can't believe someone else didn't point this out. When you reply to the co-founder or Letsrun.com. You should really proof read a little bit, POOR planning on your part.

but wejo`s beauty is not just "skin deep"
I don't want any adidas running shoes or shirt. I can buy my own
I don't need parking - I take public transport
I don't need food- I eat before I leave home
Most I would need is a bottle of water- that I buy $4.00 for a 24 pack of dasani or aquafina.
Fast past entrance to stadium??? What utter crap! In the 4 years that I have been attending this event, I have always entered quickly.
I paid $40.00 for the same seat when Bolt set the WW of 9.72
Bolt is not Jesus Christ- seeing him run is not worth $275.00 to me. Do you think this is the Olympics or something? And how do you even know he is going to be running?
TV and sofa - here I come!
Did I tell you or anyone that I need food, apparel or an open bar?
I don't want or care to have food apparel or an open bar
Has it not occurred to you that this is just crap they are throwing in, in a poor and inane attempt to justify such a price?
The back stretch?!?!?! You really don't want to do that!
You might as well stay home and watch it on TV!
Agreed- It will be sold out all right- To corporate sponsors!==========================================================

With Bolt coming, the meet will be a sellout, and it will sell out soon.
It has always beenn fun. But think of the fun. Think of the action in the stands. Do you honestly think that the people who made it so much fun are going to shill out $275.00 for a seat?
the jams will they r 95% of penn rly and reebok crowds. in the u.s white folks don't go to track shows.
People have a right to bitch and moan! Who were the ones supporting this sport when no one else would? Who were the ones supporting this sport thru all the steroids issues? We the people! So now our support is not desired anymore is that it?Well that's fine with me!==========================================================

Went to this meet couple years ago and it was INSANE. I loved every minute of it. This years general tickets are cheaper than the London Grand Prix (which also featured Bolt. also went to this meet-it was worth every penny). I highly recommend anyone in the tri state area to get out to Icahn and support your sport.
People bitch and moan about how our sport is presented poorly; this meet is an exception, with fabulous announcing, lively fans and great competition.
The crazy Jamaican community will not be shelling out $275.00 for a ticket. For the past 3 years I organized buying of tickets for a group of 20, 12 of whom were crazy Jamaicans. None of them are willing to pay $275.00. As one of the said crazy Jamaican's just told me about and hour ago. Bomba C(#*#. F%(*$ that S*#*!!!

yes...indeed meet will sell-out FAST! Bolt plus crazy Jamaican community equals fast sell-out. As for the event schedule, that is not an adidas Grand Prix issue, thats a Diamond League issue. Its the way the series is set-up. Yep, some events will be missing, on the other hand, the idea is to get some serious head to head match-ups which have been missing in the past. Quite simply Bolt VS Gay will be a hell of a story, and the Womens 5K will be nuts. Not sure you need too much else. Spend 75 bucks and support the best meet on your own home-turf--we need more meets like this one.
i hear it's sold out already. the jamaicans in the nyp/fd used Federal 911 bloodsucking sympathy money to get the entire block set aside for their kind.
if i pay $275 for a ticket, i want to see more than bolt, it would have to be bolt vs tyson gay and the best field possible, not that it matters who he races bolt will win, i just dont want to see a glorified appearance.
also for it to be worth it for me, i want all the events to be loaded to the point of being equal or maybe surpassing zurich as the worlds best 1 day meet.
who care what you want ? who are you ? they sold out already to the jamaican pigs in the ny police thug depts.
the $250 seats are on the INFIELD next to the athlete staging, well worth it
the $250 seats are on the INFIELD next to the athlete staging, well worth itDoug Logan will appreciate your gracious purchase. The cost of Jose Cuervo Gold is expensive these days.
Costs are not expensive. Expensive describes the cost of an object, so to say the cost is expensive is redundant and circular.
Costs are high. Things are expensive.
