By the way, I don't have gray hairs. I have SNOW WHITE hairs like my grandpa had. I will someday look like Santa Claus. I can't wait. Also, I can grow a full beard.

I suspect that a big part of greying (and aging) has to do with sleep deprivation. The two events that I have seen turn people grey quickly are having kids and Med school.
It began immediately after I started trolling this site.
I found my first gray hair in my mid twenties. It took awhile for that one gray hair to spread but once it started it did not stop. At 39 I'm about 85 percent gray.
Last time I renewed my license I swallowed my pride and anwered 'Gray' when asked my hair color (salt and pepper is not allowed I was told). I felt 10 years older just saying the word.
when I hit 40, I was able to see it.
Others saw it in my late 30's.
I will NEVER color my hair.
I am a hetrosexual.

Interesting, I think my first grey strand of hair was about 7 or 8 years of age? Is that possible? I would only get a strand or two through out my life but now, I barely get one.....hmmmm, maybe because my life is less stressful? or I found running?

At age 36, I first noticed grey hairs in my eyebrows. Now, at age 48, I have some smallish and noticeable streaks everywhere in my medium-brown hair. I'd say I'm in the 1/4-1/3 grey range. I have no intent of covering it up. The Shatners and Newtons of this world look obvious and stupid.
IMO, if a guy keeps himself decently lean and toned, and reasonably follows advice for nourishment and health, you ought not to worry about covering up the grey. Getting older isn't as bad as it seems if you have a good attitude toward self and life.
You are a friggin prophet , to question The Great Shatner ? I think I'm having a cerebral hemmorage ! You are one fart smeller . Link us to your blog .

I started noticing it in my beard in my mid-thirties, then on top of my head a few years later. I'm now 49 and the beard is almost completely white, and my hair still has vestiges of its original blond, but it's rapidly going gray/white. Hey, I still have hair! I enjoy the process, frankly.

43 now and it is 30% grey. Women dig it - creates the "George Clooney" look as you pointed out.
49 and no grey. I was very blond in my youth and it turned darker by mid to late 30's, but no grey. It will still get blonde with plenty of sun. I don't ever see me coloring my hair. When it does turn grey I won't complain.
I am sick n tired of these f******
I had thick, wavy, dark hair through mid-twenties that many commented on as being very nice. Sigh. Then I noticed grey hair coming in on the sides and, worse, my hair began falling out in droves. By 35 I had thin hair on top and mostly gray hair around the sides. I started wearing it very short.
I suppose I had it coming. My older brother lost his hair completely on top by age 25 and I used to kid him about it before most of my hair went grey or fell out, too.
I started seeing gray hair when I was about 23-24 and started coloring it when I was around 27 (I'm hetero, BTW). If I grew it out -- I cut it super short or go bald because it has thinned so much -- my hair would be well over 50 percent gray. I'm 40 now.
I have none but am only 21. I know a guy who said his hair was completely white by the time he was thirty, started changing around 24-25. His hair is snow white though, not grey, and it looks kind of cool I think. One of my profs has a full head of hair and a full beard, as in it covers every bit of his face where hair can grow other than his neck. It's all whitish-grey and looks awesome, especially since he is always peering over his glasses which sit low on his nose. He's like a mix of Santa Clause and Dumbledore.
I had a friend in grade school who's black hair was sprinkled with grey ones. Nothing has changed in 10 years to my knowledge.
Overall, I don't think grey is anything to worry about, and a mix of grey on a middle-aged man usually works to their benefit. My dad has greyed nicely, and no one in my family is bald, so I'm hoping things work out for me when I'm 35+. Wouldn't really want grey hair before 30 though.
17. Noticeable upon close inspection on the sides and in front. Now at age 44, some light grey on the sides, none in front, but nobody would consider me to have grey hair.
WTF, dudes getting grey hair in their 20s?! Suxx to be them d00d
