Because what Geb wears influences your running?
Buy a water shoe for $25-30 & save 80-100 dollars! I saw a water shoe late seasonal sale passing through REI for I think 25, then tried on the VFF; no way would I shell out $100+ for nothing more then a over priced, over hyped water shoe, NEVER!

Moreso than what a bunch of slow loons wear. How about when more than 10% of OT marathon entrants show up in them then I'll consider them?
gay
I like Vibram five fingers
A little caution to everyone, it is very difficult to fit orthodics into Vibrams.

What I think is most funny about these is that they are slowly morphing into more and more traditional running shoes.
Take a look at the running specific shoe:

Ding ding ding! We have a winner!
No only some dumbass who writes books about Indians in Mexico can do that.

Short answer: Yes.
probably a better person than some nut job writing about indians in mexico.
How about a marathon in 2:37 in them?

BTW -- no the Bikila does not have heel support (or an elevated heel).

yes it is.
2:37 is good. Not fast, but good.
And for people with mortons syndrome or whatever. Measure your foot from your second toe. Then the big toe of the vibrams will just have a little extra room in it.
I have mortons and I run in nike shox.
i didn't realize Vibrams were so expensive! Seems a little odd for something that is supposed to be the same as running in nothing. I opt for 1980s aquasocks myself. You can find them at most garage sales for 5 bucks!
they are the "opti-grab" of running, and will eventually meet the same fate
