Good start but I am not sure why running shoe guides classify shoe type based on a self-assessment of your footprint and how it compares to the pics (whether you have an arch or not, etc.). The picture of the footprint in the magazines make it look like you need to have NO ARCH to run in neutral shoes!!!???!!! What's up with this? Who has an arch that skinny/non-existant???
IMO most should be in neutral shoes but end up in stability shoes by default since the picture of a wet footprint for stability looks more like a normal foot.
The wetprint shape of the foot doesn't have much to do with it! You need to have someone analyze your gait at a local running store!!! just my 2cents. let me know your thoughts.
