I know letsrun just loves guys like GF, but the kid isn\'t going to win, let alone run sub 4:00. He is extremely talented, but talent will only take you so far. Lack of training and lack of intelligent training will slow times down.
I do wonder why he's running an indoor mile, especially 2 weeks before nationals.
He turned 18 this fall. He won the Big 12 championship as a 17 year old!
I'm glad to see Adam Perkins' name on the start list. He's listed as running for "Rush Running"; does anyone know anything about them or how he's doing now? I believe he's coming back from being off due to surgery last year, correct? He ran, what, 3:38-3:39 in college?

I believe it was 28:15 and he ran it alone. I think he went well under 14:00 on the second half by himself. Not bad for a freshman.
I got an e-mail from one of his old HS coaches. Paraphrasing: I saw German a few times over the break. His injury is healed and he is training pretty hard for Junior Cross Nationals. They (this was ambiguous) are hoping to get Derrick, Puskedra, Lowe and a couple of others for a "Dream Team".
I see everybody mentioned on the list apart from Puskedra. Hopefully, he will be a late entry as well.
if he was going to do USA XC jr.s only why would they bother entering him in the mile here?
soloman haile anyone ??lol j/k
