yeah, send the kid out to Bangkok and fill him up with some curries and wash it down with some of that local tap water. I am sure Galen would dig eating stinky beans and crunching crab shells for the extra calcium.
Or maybe it is a better idea to keep him in the US where he can drink from a water fountain, eat fresh vegtables and even get a mosquito bite without ending up in the hospital.
He is young and it is his first Olympics. Maybe after the next four years of competing internationally, he will be used to spending time in other parts of the world. But for now, the smart thing to do is to keep him comfortable in the US as long as possible before going to China.
And yes, Houston is 45 mi from the Gulf of Mexico, has consitent high heat and humidity in July, has marked running trails and Olympic team experienced physios (like Salazar isn't going to bring his own people with him).
