There's more truth to your post than you can ever imagine.

You are right, but you guys should keep those types of truth off these boards. Between the guys who run the place and the PC weenies they have monitoring the boards, they'll ban you for stating the truth in such a way. Look at how they hate Wariner for instance, but will bend over backward to chew on the smelly, sweaty, used jock of a "darker" runner.

Are you serious? Where did you hear this from? I must be incredibly naive, but I just cannot imagine that this would or could happen.
I also would just like to say what a great guy Rock is. I ran track with him at La Crosse and he is one of the most humble, unassuming athletes you could ever meet. He excelled at the flat 400m and will do great with the 400 hurdles.
Why would he just forgo an olympic berth this year because he has an interest in converting to a hurdler? There is something very fishy with this. Why not run in the olympics and THEN concentrate on the hurdle race...is it just me or is this the obvious alternative? This is what makes me most suspicious.
Also, I don't care how humble and unassuming he is. That doesn't mean he isn't on drugs. He may also be too competitive for his own good.
it's always about drugs isn't it, professional athletes I guess are immune to life problems aren't they? get a clue. why make false accusations about someone when you have no clue what's going on in their life. you only see them on the track, that's it. no other time. grow up. Everytime someone doesn't run or isn't running well doesn't mean there are drugs involved.
why don't you get a clue and reread my first post...notice the word "suspicion?"
It's a weird situation and his justification of why he scratched doesn't seem to be reasonable.
so in your mind then you know everything that's going on in his life, so if you don't like his reason, automatically drug suspicion, only thing it could possible be. idiot. it's people like you that all clean athletes hate.
Again, you are putting words in my mouth. C'mon buddy, like I said before, reread my first post. I have become SUSPICIOUS (I put it in all-caps so you have an easier time seeing it). Suspicion does not mean I know everything about Rock. Also, it is not the only possible scenario. I'm the idiot, yet you can't even interpret a simple post correctly. We, as humans, form opinions based on evidence. So far the evidence consists of him scratching for, what I consider, a sketchy reason. I'm sure I will hear more on this topic and I may form a different opinion. I am NOT sure that he is on drugs...just a little suspicious. I believe anyone not suspicious is being a little naive. Give me another plausible explanation for him scratching (remember I said plausible)...Rock's explanation is not plausible to me since he had a great chance (apparently 90%) to run in the greatest track meet known to mankind and he decided to pass it up since he is switching his focus to a new event 4 years from now. Could he not have delayed this transition for another month?...he would then have 4 years to train for the hurdles.
I know this is an old post but I just wanted to clear it up that Andrew my cousin does not do drugs and his wife was never kid napped. He chose to not run because he was not feeling good and didn't want to perform poorly in such a large venue of people. Hope that helps all of you out with the truth now.
