He is clean! Like I am clean! We shower all the times. We are clean---so very very clean. We cannot tell you over and over again how so very clean we are!
Found a video of the race, it looked pretty crazy!
This is crappy but it is the olny one online as of now.
If we look at the history of 100m, we have Gatlin 9.77, Montgomery 9.78, Greene 9.79, Ben Johnsen 9.79, Christie 9.83 and Chambers 9.8x.
All these fast times needed drugs, so I fail to believe someone can be that much faster and clean.
Clean, my arse! wrote:

I really believe someone who is so knowledgeable that they know of a 9.83 time for Linford Christie when the rest of the world only ever saw him run 9.87 and who doesn't even know that Chambers also ran 9.87. I bow to your superior wisdom, oh great one.
Clean your own arse, you lazy f**kwit
someone updated adjusted times on t&f news :
all-time adjusted top 10 (ok, 12 w/ ties)
adj. real wind
9.79 9.78 0.0 Asafa Powell Rieti ’07
9.80 9.79 +0.1 Maurice Greene Athens ’99
9.81 9.72 +1.7 Usain Bolt NYC '08
9.81 9.80 +0.2 —Greene Seville ’99
9.82 9.84 –0.5 Tyson Gay Indianapolis ’07
9.85 –0.5 —Gay Osaka ’07
9.84 –0.3 —Powell Brussels ’07
9.83 –0.3 —Powell Stuttgart ’07
9.83 9.82 –0.2 —Greene Edmonton ’01
9.77 +1.0 —Powell Zürich ’06
9.86 –0.5 —Powell Berlin ’06
9.74 +1.7 —Powell Rieti ’07
tyson's adjusted was 9.93, & we can see he has run 9.82 best adjusted time from last year - so he was over 0.1s slower than his pb
this lends credence to tyson's statement on iaaf that he is rounding into shape at his own measured pace - i e peaking for trials & not this relatively early season meet
i expect tyson to be near/at wr pace at trials
this sets up an interesting dilemma for jama selectors
iirc they have 1 pre-selection & fastest 2 at their trials go to games
now, safa has been the pre-selected for past few years, but he may not be anymore
he's currently injured but needs to whip himself into shape & get into top 2 by trials ( depends whether bolt runs 100m at trials or not maybe believing he's got the pre-selection )
i think a coupla of their guys will also go <10 at their trials putting even more pressure on safa
there is a remote possibilty that if safa isn't fully fit by trials he may not get an individual spot !!!
Why do you even list Montgomery? His 9.78 had a 2.0 behind it making it a 9.9 in still conditions. Many have run faster than that.
And believe this kid. Do you think he was on drugs as a 16 year old when he ran 20.1?
The reason these athletes take drugs is so that they can improve, if only slightly. Just b/c some kid ran 20.1 as a 16yo, does not mean he can automatically run 9.72 5 yrs later. The drugs will take him from a 9.80 or whatever down to that 9.72. Like somebody mentioned earlier, this kid would have to be a HUGE STUD to run so much faster than proven great runners and cheaters like Montgomery, Johnson, Greene, etc.
This is why I will never trust Lance Armstrong. Do you really think that he was so much better than everyone else that he could be clean and beat the world's best who are known to be cheaters? That doesn't make sense, imo.
No one who ever runs fast anymore does it clean. Shalane, Hall, Hasay, German, Bauhs, Wheating, the roadrunner - they're all suspect. Every last one of them!
USA Today says 9.72 and has a spectacular professional wingspan picture

I don't go around saying athletes are on steriods but in the second half of my statement I'm going to do exactly that.

Not exactly out of nowhere. He was arguably the best teenage talent ever and now he's the best in the world.
Anyway if you think everyone else is dirty that still makes him the best right. Drugs have been around for a long time and no-one has ever run a 9.76 followed by 9.72 a few weeks later. Drugs wouldn't answer the central question of how? How is he so much better? He's much faster then Ben Johnson and Mo Greene and we haven't even got to the olympics yet. Wow.

lol
to those who said 19.32 is in for a scare or that it would become slow, you are morons. lets do the math. 19.32 is back to back 9.66 100's. 9.66 is quite a bit faster than 9.72. I would bet a lot of money that 19.32 is safe for a few more years.
ole rule of thumb was that 200m was double your 100m time ( although didn't apply to mj & 19.32 )
so, bolt as a 9.72 runner, then, as being a primary 200 runner until this year, he must be looking for no slower than 19.44

Ok, well the first time he breaks 10 seconds he runs the second fastest 100 ever. The next race he runs he breaks the world record. How does he do that you ask? Drugs is how. What makes others more believable is their progression, is Bolt REALLY that much more talented than everyone else that he immediately runs two of the three fastest times ever? I kind of doubt it, but I guess anything is possible.
