I give the guy credit for entering the Open 12k race.
#507 ran 46:54 for the 12k race (6:17 pace)
Ritz ran 35:03 for the 12k race (4:42 pace)

I hope that guy was a masters who for some reason ran the open race, because he flew all the way from Virginia to run 47:00.
This guy ran a little faster, but look at him leading the race. I guess he went out a little too fast.

this may sound a little stupid as I never realized it before, but is Ritz really Jewish?
Jon Rankin got 20th, beating some solid distance dudes, and he did it as a funrun- in trainers. Dang

Did anyone see this photo of Ritz lapping a guy in the xc championships?
http://trackandfieldphoto.com/DisplayNextJpg.php?080216_2224_1892_RLMHow long were the laps?
It's great how everything about the guy - his trainers, his high socks, his struggling gait, his hairy legs - is the complete opposite of Ritzenhein, except for the sunglasses. They are wearing the exact same sunglasses.
those aren't trainers. they are some old ass nike waffle flats. i had some in the same color. may as well be trainers with how heavy they are though.
What does it matter ? I think Ritz is Jewish and so what ? BFD. It's the Zionists people hate for exterminating their own Semitic people in Palestine, and not the Jewish people or religion.
Cut me a break Lets Run posters......I beat about 10 other runners and cracked 47minutes. The breeze from Ritz passing me gave me a nice push as well.
That guy is not the only one that Ritz lapped. Looking at the splits it appears as though Ritz lapped about 30 people.
yeah resting the it band does very little. i took some time off and came back with the exact same problem. you have to get a foam roller/massage and actually create some slack somewhere in the tendon. taking time off just helps the symptoms.
Yes, Ritz lapped quite a few... so did most of the leaders (Torres, Ro, Hall, etc.).
Shalane lapped a few herself in a race that was only 4 laps, not 6.
No - his singlet doesn't say "More Cowbell Track Club"
Ryan Bak definitely lost his tan since he left Monterey for Eugene. He's running better though.
dear s barton,
good on you for running old man!

How do we know it's not the other guy passing Ritz?
The difference is that this guy probably has a real job and makes some money.
I'd love to hire Ritz to manage my burger king in 10 years.
Is that Ritz's dad?
S. Barton:
Man, age 39 is a cruel age! Good job, soon you will be 40, something to look forward to!
