if this is true, and he did cut the course, g-town by rules should not figure in team scores. they should be dq'd. if the coach knew this and did nothing, then he is a fraud himself.

I actually agree with College Coach. The last G-town runner didn't run the final small loop the 10k runners do on their second lap. He just stopped running prior to where you turn into the last loop and started to head to their tarp. When Henner realized what was going on, he yelled at the kid to finish the race. Unfortunatly - there were no officials in this area to DQ the kid for cutting the course.
Henner knew he didn't run the loop. The kid should have never showed up in the team results. Gtown should not have a team score, let alone be 13th. I don't care what you say about no competitive advantage gained, the kid cut the course (and the coach was in the know about it), end of story. The rules are the rules - you follow them or you are DQ'ed.
