All those gadgets for nothing. All the Kenyans,Ethiopians, Japanese, Italians, Brazlians, Mexicans, are laughing their asses off! What happen to the good old days of 120+ weeks anywhere anytime and the Timex iron 100 lap watch was the most advance gadget you used.

I don't know what the Italians, Mexicans or "Brazlians" have to laugh about.
maybe the fact that they dont do have of that stuff because they cant afford it yet are still on the same level as these americans. I wonder how good they actually would be if they never would have used an altitude tent? I know rupp would be around a minute slower in all his prs

you 'know' this do you? you should get down the bookies and make use of this skill, plenty of good bets going for the world champs for a man with your knowledge

wait a sec..does Salazar actually have a nike swoosh tatoo on his left shoulder? LAME.
Nike probably paid him to do that and its just their mark showing that they own him forever! Or he actually didn't have a heart attack and nike had him killed and they cloned him and thats the mark of a clone. I heard somewhere that nike have a lifetime contract with him, is this true?

They're running 110 miles at high altitude.
Times change. Were you bitching on internet message boards during the days of when your Timex watch was impressive?

You're saying each one of Rupp's PR's would be one minute slower without his altitude tent? So his 1500 and 10k time would both be one minute slower? Thats just stupid, go away.

Laughed pretty hard at this
Imagine how much faster rupp would be if he didnt need all of those asthma and thyroid meds - he would be faster than Bekele!
Maybe when he turns pro, he can get some good health insurance to cure his asthma and thyroid problems?
but seriously Rupp is so lucky to have found Salazar. I don't mean to be negative, but we might not even have known him if he wasn't raised by the best coach in the country. I mean he has had any and every advantage known to man. It proves if you catch a hold of a semi talented runner at a young age train him meticulously theough his years of maturity on he could run 27:33. The one catch is that you must work for Nik, be an ex marathon superstar, have every running connection, and lolts of money and tie to spare(Salazar). In short, Rupp is spoiled little half talent who doesn't know how to get anywhere on his own, I hope gets lapped in Osaka.

I bet they weren't laughing when Meb and Deena handed it to them in Athens. Power to science!

And by spoiled you mean?
I suppose you mean lucky.
Because spoiled to me means someone who has a lot and doesn't appreciate it and in fact is negatively affected by it. Hence the word "spoiled". Going from good to bad or rotten.
I have not seen anything from Rupp but a phenomenal work ethic, a huge amount of respect for his coach and for people in general, and just a nice personality. Ohh, and a collection of records and nice performances that are just a reflection of that work ethic.
The only thing that is spoiled here is a person who gets jealous of another persons fortunes and lets it turn them into the kind of person who spits poison. I'm of course assuming you had a better character at one point.

semi-talented . . . please explain what information you used to create this conjecture. His PR's indicate that he is extremely talented.

As always you miss the point which was pertained to Alberto's Nike Sponsored training group. Meb is coached by Larson and Deena was coached by Vigil for Athens not by Alberto.
Alberto's group has failed to produce any medals at Worlds nor Olympics even though the group has existed for some time and has had the unlimited resources of Nike at their disposal....hooray for bad science.
No, I was responding to the previous poster who was knocking on science, NOT in reference to Alberto's group. If you read the link I provided, you'll see that Deena and Meb applied the science at the last Olympics, and came out on top.
Meb didn't beat Baldini, dearie.
