Who are those cocky Norwegians? You ought to specify. Warholm cocky? Not so.

Not so sure about that. He's going to have to reassess this season. While Rai was running his best at the Championships, Dos Santos was killing it in May? I'm now kinda wondering if part of his 2022 success was the fact that is was an abnormally early World Champs.
wet ass track, hope rai takes another shot
Agreed. Also: Rai now has four of the five fastest times in the world this year, and he’s run under 47 four times this year. With one more sub-47, he’ll tie Warholm for most sub-47 runs in one year.
The best scenario happened. Rai and Warholm are two fastest guys and both are now Olympic champion. Santos is world champion and based on current performance he still got bronze. Hope Santos wins 400mH in 2028 as he is still 24years old. That will be the best way to have a decade of spectacular 400mh with happy ending
I'm a fan of the U.S. team so of course I applaud Rai. But beyond that I admire his enthusiasm, his leadership, his unwavering support of the U.S. athletes. He's a great ambassador for the U.S. team.
Congrats Benjamin well earned. What happened to Warholm he didn’t look to be in good form?

The only one I don't really care much for is Jakob. Warholm is/was a great champion.

Warholm looked a lot heavier than usual to me. My wife commented on it, and I was thinking the same (as Norwegians, we are bombarded with images of him for reference). I don't know if that has a major impact on 400m h.
Yes he wasn't very lean maybe he missed training due to injuries or could stack whatever PED regiment he probably is on.
I don't think Benjamin is clean either so their cheating cancels each other out...

Warholm looked in fine form. Rai has just figured out how to beat him. He was behind Rai, did not make up the stagger even though he employed his usual strategy of running the first 200M hard. Rai being the superior flat 400M runner used less energy to keep up and then kicked on the curve again because he had more in reserve. This is how Rai has beaten Warholm the last three times they have met. It started with the DL final last year.

Wow. How NOT to run a 4 x 100. US men's medal drought in 4 x 100 is now going to extend to 24 years
