anyone have tobogo's split? he was flying.
44.2
Was cool to watch the 3 vets claw back perfectly to offset the kid
Quincy Wilson earned his spot in the pool, but that was a pretty nervous leg. I guess USA qualified "comfortably" but I was anxious for a second. Doesn't matter now, but running a 16 year old who has never ran in a global adult championship isn't an easy decision even if he's technically fast enough on paper.
Unsure if leadoff was the move. Think 2nd leg wouldve been much better but he'll be back. Hopefully next year in Tokyo
Are USA expected to win 4 relays?
yeah i never really gave it any thought but the kid would have been devastated(!) if they didnt advance. they almost didnt.
that handoff in heat 2 was chaos, shame south africa fell but you could see it coming.

2nd leg is worse because he may have to jostle with other runners. 3rd leg is the better option.

On paper, yes, I think. But we all know USA and relays. Let's pray for clean handoffs.

When it comes to relays and the usa, nothing is ever in the bag.

Dont forget the mixed 4x4, they sent out a college sophomore on the anchor.

no but only because they might drop the baton
Also, Botswana is gonna give them a tough time in the 4x400 final
think that one is fine, frankly she split 49.1 it's not even bad
Much hyped Anna Hall is not doing so well.
Botswana might be with us with 100 to go in the final. Don't sleep
Think Johnson-Thompson needed a faster 200m and bigger LJ today to give herself enough of a buffer against Thiam.
50 points when Thiam can throw 10m more in the Javelin isn't a good sign means she's probably going to have the win the 800m by 10s which is a little too much when looking at their PBs.
The good news is she's probably got Silver wrapped up. Hall being 250 points back and a similar Javelin PB means she'd have to win the 800m by 15 seconds.
she just fouled and ruined a PB throw, she was fine then did some little hop for no reason at all and stepped on the line ???
Dude what happened in the Hept. Thiam went from 2nd to 7th and Hall from 3rd to 11th?? in just two events
