You don't LIKE to think about it, but you will have to. Cole Hocker isn't fresh outta college like in 2021, last time he had a huge PR jump in an Olympic final.
This time, not only another huge PR jump in an Olympic final, he's probably the first in history to go straight from 3:30 to 3:27. And that's a low 3:27. Everyone with a faster PB than him - El G, Lagat, Kiprop, etc - hit 3:28 or 3:29 somewhere along the way.
2 years ago Yared missed two tests after joining oac. He has missed a test this year as well.
Everyone knows
any proof of this? genuinely curious. based on what they said on coffee club he barely takes supplements.
engels was very likely talking about the steeple - even if what you're saying is true he's unlikely to be publically salty about the 1500m guys - it's a bad look for him even if he's right

This is misleading at best. He ran 3:30 in a very tactical 1500 and looked amazing doing it - he closed in a 52 for crying out loud. It was obvious he could have gone at least 3:28 high after that and everyone was saying it.
I mean, this is the guy that ran 3:31 in an Olympic final at 19. It's not like he's unproven talent or anything
Craig regularly posts about testing transparency in the sport, and with regard to the timing of THIS post, there is a less-than-24-hour-old quote from Michael Phelps in the current news cycle (as one would expect as Phelps has been all over the TV everyday of this Olympiad) which I think Craig probably just simply reposted with the click of a button without thinking about the timing/optics of it. He's probably repost that 100% of the time regardless of what day of the year it is I don't think he meant anything by it.
But wow, what horrible sentiment towards Craig oozing from this thread. That's not I feel. Speak for yourselves.
Hocker and Nuguse just finished 1 and 3 in the 1500m and 30 minutes later Engels reposts a Michael Phelps tweet: "If you test positive, you should never be allowed to come back and compete again, cut and dry... I believe in one and done."
Shots fired??
Yes Craig Engels knows something is amiss with the American 1500m runners LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think even Nuguse is suspect now for me as I can't believe he was so close to KERR and actually beat Jakob.
For me the bottomline is nobody is touching KERR and Jakob in both a time trial and championship setting 1500m race, that's the baseline for me. If that baseline is threatened by Nuguse or Hocker, something's amiss for sure, drugs are brewing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Prefontaine mile is a good baseline and guideline. KERR and Jakob top 2, the rest like Nuguse and Hocker all further back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This order is not getting upset at the Olympic games which ran just as fast as the Prefontaine mile or faster actually!!!!!!!!!
If the order is upset, you know something is wrong not with the top 2 but with the ones further behind----they doped AF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
lol I suppose you missed Nuguse's 3:43 mile (3:27 1500 equivalent) at Pre last year. A feat Kerr had not accomplished until today. Keep screaming about nothing you misinformed troll

3:30 to 3:27 has never been proven possible, no matter how you slice it. Not even close.

A few years ago a lot of athletes posted their testing results. They asked everyone do it. It was because Yared would show 2 missed test. He missed another this year. You cannot find any of this, because it’s illegal for WADA to show you anything but 3 missed test or a failed test.
Yared is a lot like Lagat was. He’s a great guy, so he’s hard not to like.
Craig should have doped if he wanted to be a legit contender in US track. Idgaf that Hocker and Nuguse and Hobbs almost certainly are because the other guys in this final almost certainly are too. Who fkn cares
