That's just because Jakob actually cares and puts his heart and soul into promoting the sport. Sorry he doesn't treat everything as a joke like your boy, Josh.
Within 10 mins of finishing Jakob gave a brief but totally honest and courteous interview to the BBC in the mixed zone and the BBC coverage showed him either shaking hands or patting shoulder of vast majority if not all of the other 11 directly after the finish.
Kerr now has an Olympic bronze and silver… he’s got similar accolades (NCAA champ and 1500 silver and bronze) to Nick Willis. Few 1500m runners have done that at the olympics so he should hold his head up high.
While Olympic gold is the pinnacle having the type of career where you have a global gold silver and bronze is absolutely top tier. It’s funny, he has the same quality and color medals as Centro but Centro has Olympic gold and WC silver and bronze and Kerr has the inverse.
Kerr raced against Hocker and Nuguse during NCAA's, they go back a long ways and they all respect one another. while I'm sure he's bummed for not winning gold, there's no shame running 3:27 in an Olympic final.
Yeah saw that and his post race interview was excellent. Genuinely proud of himself and he PBd. Left it all on the track and the promotion to Silver was a good reward.

He got silver and PBd... can't ask him for more than that.
