Jager did that all to himself. If he had run faster he would have made it, but he didn’t.

Silky wilky here we go
That was kinda funny how Wilkeson showed off his watch tan line to the camera.
Kenya will certainly protest. You can't shove someone off the track like that before a barrier. Wicked close by him though to almost make it anyways.
Sable really taking this out
Corrigan pissed his pants at the start line & He looked like he wanted no part of that. Mental check out.
Seems like the US team strategy is go to the back and don’t give yourself a chance. Feels like we’ve gone back 20 years. At least Rooks will stick his nose in it.
Hearing Kara and Leigh ramble about Wilkinson’s feet (more so his socks) was not on my 2024 bingo card

Yeah, I thought it was just some sort of running error by him, but the replay clearly showed the shove. I wondered whether there was some "tough luck" rule in the Olympics (don't know why there would be, but I'm not expert on the rules); if not, that seems like a clear appeal that could get him through.
He'll get through I'm sure given the elbow, bummer he had to expel so much effort he wouldn't have had to otherwise. Inspiring last lap.

He gets dq’d for that right? You can’t run back around and then put your hand on the barrier.
From World Athletics
23.7 Each athlete shall go over or through the water and shall go over each hurdle. Failure to do so will result in a disqualification.
In addition, an athlete shall be disqualified, if
23.7.1 they step to one side or other of the water jump, or
23.7.2 their foot or leg is, at the instant of clearance, beside the hurdle (on either side), below the horizontal plane of the top of any hurdle.
Provided this Rule is observed, an athlete may go over each hurdle in any manner.
The Japanese steeple guy is legit
Wilkinson in good position for 5th wdym
Sam Kendricks has gotta be one of the athletes I care the least about. Total crybaby.
Wilkinson's got a shot here
Serem is moving on. He shows as “QR” on the results site, “Qualified by Referee Decision”

God that is devastating. What an effort.
Hopefully gets advanced. That was incredible.
Cross country at Summer Olympic! Jumping over barriers, running through water!
not a fan but Kendricks looks sharp. Hopefully someone pushes Mondo a bit.

First time he's had any real personal space.
Paris Monday PM live thread: Women’s 5000 & 800 finals (+ Live Reaction Show at 7 pm ET)
Mondo competes for Sweden instead of USA. Brilliant move or cheap copout!
