Other than Crittenden (likely but not guaranteed especially if not healthy), how many athletes will make the final of their event through the repechage?

Wow a tie for second in the 400h repechage. Commentators saying someone gets lane 1 in a semi, I wonder how they decide.
If you've got an Australian VPN you can watch it at 9now.com.au (need to sign up).
Drawing of lots I would imagine.
Congratulations to China for finally developing a decent W400h from a population of 1 billion.
Boom! That worked great. Thanks for the heads up. Much better.
If Grebo learned how to hurdle she could be solid.
How did French girl win that? She's getting her doors blown off in the semis. She chopped her steps for like the last 9 hurdles
How did 4 people in the same heat drop out? crazy
French dude got screwed. Basically had to run a time trial. They should let him in

Sweet deal for the remaining runners - sounds like guys on 4x4s got pulled
Saving their legs for the relays, probably? If you're from a smaller country, making the 4x4 final is more important than running another 400 to get bounced in the semis anyway
Holly Bradshaw doesn’t enjoy vaulting, so it’s tough to watch her come back to an event that she’s talked about quitting several times.
No one's forcing her to continue. Time to get a real job.
She almost damaged more than her mental health on that last attempt...
Wonder if WA changes or eliminates the open 400 repechage moving forward, it's pretty silly with all the scratches.
If the point's to give the best runners another shot, then it's not really working because the faster runners are the ones on 4x4 teams. If the point's to serve up more good races, it's not really working bc these 3 and 4-person heats are a joke

I just assume the athletics bigwigs are fans of this sci-if classic, with their ultimate aim to see a repechage of just one “running man”:
In a dystopian America, a falsely convicted policeman gets his shot at freedom when he must forcibly participate in a TV game show where convicts, runners, must battle killers for their freedom.

I don’t have sympathy, to be clear.

Lol announcers so happy to have a repechage with no scratches, going on and on about how Sean Bailey is a serious threat for the final... and then Bailey pulls up 120 in, clearly saving himself for the relays as well

Those skipping due to 4x4 duties shouldn't declare for the repechage races. Can potentially save the empty lane problem.

Mondo competes for Sweden instead of USA. Brilliant move or cheap copout!
