Any one ever hear about a Richard McCallister who ran in and around 1960? Times ~ 4 flat mile, 2 - mile indoors 8:35. I think he had twins that were excellent runners, Todd & Mark, in Illinois around 1975. Not sure what they did in college.
Warren Utes (holds some serious records for real old guys) and his daughter Cindy James
Bob Kennedy's dad also was a sub 4 minute miler at IU
The Culpeppers' kid should also be fast, as would Marion/Tim M.'s
Also, Arkansas prep(/exchange student?) Katya Kostetskaya has run 41 300H and 2:06 800 to be close to national lead in both for HS girls. Her mom? Soviet Olga Dvirna, who ran 3:54.23 in 82, still way up on a-t list. Her dad is an 800 guy (1:45-47?).
(Drug issues notwithstanding...)
Ohio State's Rob Myer's (3:58) father ran near 4:00 in college at Western Kentucky in the mid-late 60's (Darrell).
doesn't galloway have a son or two who are quick?
No, Montgomery and Jones' kid won't amount to anything. Biology lesson: any drugs given to the parents will reduced or no effect on the offsprings. So all those performance-enhancement drugs won't do a thing for their kids...
The Penguin has two sons who walked at Boston.
I know a family where grandpa ran HS 4:29/state champ in Illinois - in 30s, son ran HS 1:50.1y/4:09y-jr/Cal State champ x 2 - 70s, and grandaughter @ HS sub 18:00 xc. mmmm
Believe Bob Kennedy's dad was more like 4:10.
Barry Brown's son Darren runs 4:20, 1:56 for Klien in Houston, TX, will run for Barry's alma mater Providence.
andrew valmon and his wife meredith rainey-valmon have a son who's is about 5 or 6. that boy better be fast.
actually i saw on the news recently (past month) that some recreational drugs like ecstasy and cocaine can alter the dna/genes of your offspring. there will be some pretty funky kids come out of the rave generation.

Actually, with all the drugs those two have likely pumped into their bodies, the kid'll probably be lucky if it doesn't have green skin and nine heads!
Did Rich and Cheri Kenah have their kids yet? Last I heard she was pregnant w/twins and due in December. How about Keith Dowling's wife, Michelle (also a good Villanova runner, I think).
Yes, Darren is a freshman at Providence now. I think he was their 6th man for most of the season. Unless I'm mistaken, I think Barry Brown was Providence College's first ever All-American for XC. He ran something like 9:06 for 2 miles in a little all-comers meet in my hometown a couple days after he turned 40. No official masters record, though, because the track didn't have a rail.
Sam Bair Sr. was a fairly decent runner. His son was doing well in a Pennsylvania high school a couple of years ago; but I'm not sure what he's doing now.
a very fast family (this probably takes it):
Charles Jenkins was the gold medalist in the 400 in 1956.
His son Chip Jenkins was a gold medalist in the 4x400 in 1988. Chip always gets to tell his dad that he's so slow because the elder Jenkins never broke 45 (the son's PR is 44.90).
Hal & Kevin Higdon were very good marathoners.......I believe Hal ran 2:23 in the early 60's and Kevin ran around 2:17+ to qualify for the 84 trials. Is there a faster American father/son combination?
Ken Popejoy has a couple sons that are running great prep careers in Illinois. One son was 10th at FL midwest (easy to spot: elite nike uni and carrot top-esque red coif).
Luck be a lady if I shit my own ass
