Is it possible the be impressed at the OPs argument and thrilled for Cairess, whilst simultaneously thinking the OP is a tool for every other post in this thread?
1. Born in Bradford, grew up in Saltaire. A very hilly part of the UK. Would have sharpened his running talents on hilly terrain from day one without it being anything other than normal.
2. XC prowess. Under 23 team European silver medal team.
3. Strong track times 13.26/27:34
4. 45:57 10mile/1:00:01 half
5. We saw in Rio and Tokyo African athletes only deal marginally better with heat/humidity, if at all. The conditions in Paris won't be vastly different to UK hot conditions meaning he'll be used to running in comparable weather.
6. Won't be a fast race, times comparable to Rio Tokyo. 2:08:30 will get the win, bronze and silver a minute slower. Times well within his capability.
Cairess will certainly finish in the top 5 and likely medal.
Are any american books offering to medal props?
I haven't seen odds. But I think one of Caress, Cam Levins, Mantz, Clayton Young will have a good day and end up medaling.
3/4 top 10, Cairess in 4th, didn't work out, but I certainly don't regret it.
