You have to understand - Harambe started this thread (using a sock puppet poster) to get people to stop taking Vitamin D. Harambe works for some bargain-basement troll farm with a contract from the pharma industry and specifically from those interested in pushing the mRNA gene drugs. Vitamin D keeps people healthy and that is not what Harambe's employers want, which is why Harambe's full time job is posting such nonsense here.
I rather get the impression that Harambe is actually Flagpole...
WEJO, DO AN IP CHECK, AND IF I AM THE SAME POSTER AS HARAMBE, BAN ME FOR LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There was a massive study of all vitamins that showed they did nothing to help you do anything other than waste your money. It seems our body processes vitamins and minerals that we actually eat in food, where those in pill form do nothing.
It didn't make many headlines because it didn't tell people what they wanted to hear or make anyone a lot of money.
"The researchers concluded that multivitamins don’t reduce the risk for heart disease, cancer, cognitive decline (such as memory loss and slowed-down thinking) or an early death. They also noted that in prior studies, vitamin E and beta-carotene supplements appear to be harmful, especially at high doses."
From what you posted it looks like that was a study of multivitamins and the conclusion was that they do not improve health.
However, the topic of this thread pertains to vitamin D and it is clear that taking a vitamin D supplement can and will increase your vitamin D levels. To what impact if any that has on your health is unclear, but I think it's a stretch to say that taking vitamin D does nothing when it does actually increase your level.
I thought the purpose of supplementing vit D, K, and other running related bits/minerals was to make sure you’re always getting the quantity you need so you’re never ‘low’, so the risk of injury over time is lower. If there is never a day when you’re low on vitamins, it’s less likely your bones will be under recovered. Any extra just gets peed out
