It’s fairly obvious that it’s not just a case of a few guys not performing well and receiving a deserved cut from the team. Maybe some did, who is to say. But when this is his third year and third different coaching staff, as well as the large amount of transfers, not just useless runners but ones who scored and or raced at bigger meets for UT, it says more about the man in charge than the individuals leaving for greener pastures. Regardless, the roster is not impressive right now and the coaching staff is filled with inexperienced puppets who will do whatever Master Carlson says without questioning it. Sure, he coached a footlocker champion to an ncaa title and a now 3:43 miler to 1x ncaa title. Good for him. Show me something more than taking generational talents and helping them just run what they should run. 2nd place was great, do it in a year that’s not a March Covid Championship. Seriously, not sure what’s going on there. Gets worse and worse every year and now probably won’t even make the big dance. That’s still a possibility though with such a weak FSU team, but wouldn’t be surprised if UT either gets left home or embarrassed in Wisconsin come late-November. Carlsons seat should be on fire.
