So it seems like there are some people here who know some things about situations like these/are passionate enough to have some interest in it.
Full disclosure, I don't - hence this/these questions.
This all seems to happen so fast to me. Like when you watch that one (now well viewed) eyewitness video, Trump is only halfway to the ground by the time the SS guys have clearly taken their shot and presumably killed this kid.
I just don't know how this happens so insanely fast. Did they know this kid was there and that's why they were able to retaliate so quickly? I just assumed that if this came out of the blue and they had no idea where it came from, they would need at least some time to locate him (maybe someone radios in where the shot came from etc) before making a headshot that killed him.
One justification I heard for this (such a quick kill) was that they knew he was there but that he technically wasn't doing anything illegal until he actually fired the gun and that's why they couldn't shoot until he did? (which I find hard to believe that bringing a firearm to a public space, setting it up to be pointed at someone isn't illegal but then again I have no clue either on how this works in a legal sense???)
I guess the way that would make logical sense to me is that the SS sinpers are there constantly looking for threats and that as soon as they see one they have full authority to take it out and so I would have imagined those guys taking a shot and Trump being basically tackled to the deck by his security team, well before any gun from an "assassin" went off. Then again, I guess it is plausible that in the split second the SS located and saw this kid, that he coincidentally fired off his shot as well and this all happened in lesds than a second. That seems like an insane coincidence but I guess it's also technically plausible that it could happen.
Is this the official word? Is there any other plausibility to the above (the "not taking a shot until..." concept etc etc).
Genuinely asking these questions as someone with no clue how this works.
