Why should we let her represent the US in Olympic competition?
She acts like it's such a burden to be so incredibly talented. It's just not worth the risk when we so many other athletes that are fast, act professional, and actually want to be there.
Why? I don’t believe there are 4 American women better than her in the 400
why?? Because she hasn’t ran a 400 in years. She doesn’t have a time worthy of being in the relay pool. She hasn’t ran a 400 to give any indication of what type of 400m shape she is in.
it looks like, as Bobby Kersee wanted, the Olympics committee took politics out of the selection process and used race times to select runners for the relay pool… and with zero race results- Athing was not selected.
If she were healthy and racing, she'd be one of our best two 400m runners, no doubt in my mind, and it wouldn't matter whether she had raced a 400m. She should leave that training situation, work with a coach who believes in her and lets the greatest talent we've ever had on the women's side from 400m through 1500m run whatever she wants. With Kersee, it doesn't seem that she even wants to do track.

She's sprinting down the runway in Paris , as we speak.
Based on her 800 prelim at the trials? (Her one race this year)
She hasn't run a 400 since 2022. If she wanted to be in the pool she should've found a 400 to run between falling in the Trials and the team announcement

She hasn't proven this year that she can run a fast 400. She ran a 2:01 and a 1:58 800m and that's it this year. Her injured hamstring means going faster is more risky for her than the slower 800m pace. So there's no reason to believe she's reliable for a 4x400m relay right now.
If she's healthy enough for the olympics she needs to drop a revenge time in the 400 or 800. Otherwise everything worked out the way it should.
Heck, if she wanted to be in the relay pool she could have entered or just set up a 400 somewhere, kinda like what our man Corrigan did setting up a run at the steeple standard. It would have been a heck of a story if she could have dropped a good enough time to warrant consideration. I'm not even sure if it would have mattered if she did it in that week between the end of the WA ranking window and the final selection date, since a qualified country's pool picks aren't individually tied to the WA rankings.
