That large gathering at Woodstock in 1969 occurred right during the Hong Kong flu pandemic. No precautions taken.
Woodstock happened in August 1969.
The Hong Kong Flu made it to the US in September 1969
In September 1968, the flu reached India,[22] northern Australia,[23] Thailand,[24] and Europe. The same month, the virus entered the United States and was carried by troops returning from the Vietnam War, but it did not become widespread in the country until December 1968.

Enough of your “facts.” Next you’ll probably try to claim that public health protocols changed over the ensuing 50 years, too.
In 1968 there was a jab for people who traveled to Asian where the flu was prevalent. Maybe that's why it's called the HONG KONG flu and not the Woodstalk flu.
Terrible time in US History. I can still remember the weekly KIA report and thinking about the guy who lived down the road who always like to work on his 57 Chevy, when his name appeared.

Imagine living in 2024 and still citing Wikipedia. It is amazing you can even spell.
"In September 1968, the US was confronted with a novel H3N2 influenza virus that originated in China and was dubbed the ‘Hong Kong Flu’ or ‘Mao Flu’.1 The death toll of the ensuing pandemic was comparable to that of the COVID-19 pandemic given the smaller US population of the time of around 200 million people, with 100,000 deaths in the US"

1970 is the same number of years from 2024 as 1970 was from 1916. Think about it.
