You know that someone's PB isn't a direct indicator of their ability? If Kipyeagon wasn't in this race do you think Hull would have ran the exact same time? Sometimes you don't get in to the perfect race while having the perfect fitness and perfect conditions every year all the time lol
You know that Hull raced SIX Diamond League races last year, right? And the World Championship. All with the winners seconds ahead of her.
Plenty of great opportunities to run her best, and she did.
Kipyegon is a mega doper, anyone who comes close is suspicious.
This is an important post.
When half of LetsRun says that Kipyegon is doped, it is interesting to see when an Australian suddenly reaches the same "ridiculous" "impossible" level.
She ran most of those times under one of the worst professional coaches in the world, Pete Julian. She’s been back home in Australia which is a much better environment and has a better coach. Then you add the Olympic bump. Leaving Pete was probably worth 4 seconds.
I actually really do, but it isn't on my radar to track the training base and coaching staff of every athlete who has made one global final in their life (placing 7th in Hull's case).
Obviously I know of her as she has been racing at a high level for so many years, and with the lesser depth in Australia she is at most major championships.
I said it in the official Paris thread. I like Hull. She is a gritty racer who always sticks her nose in it. But this is the most suspicious performance of the day.
I agreed.
I was watching and cheering out loud for her today. I love to see an underdog getting after it, and she was the only athlete who stuck with Kipyegon's pace.
But any real follower of the sport has to look closely at a seven-second jump from a seasoned runner.
I know the real answer is it is different for each athlete but how much are we really thinking drugs can impact a 1500m runner? Is it the extra training that gets 2/3 seconds a 1500m race? Or do we think hull is a 3.55 runner and 3.50 with juice.

We need to hear from LRC chief prosecutor - Coevett - if she's clean or dirty.
