JuVaughn Harrison 4th in HJ but has the standard -- ?? can someone do analysis of Snowden and Wilson for world ranking points? It does not appear that either will get the 2.33 standard.
81 degrees. Not optimal for a 5k. Let’s see how Fisher or Nur attack this.
How far out should Fisher attack from? 1200m out seems reasonable, but I don't see how he drops this stronger 2024 version of Hocker in these conditions.
The 2024 US Olympic Track and FIeld Trials will end tonight and we'll break it down for you once it's over. Did Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone set yet another WR?...
Harrison got fourth in the high jump. He has the standard and could get in on his very high ranking but will have to wait. The second place high jumper - Snowden - doesn't have the standard and has a very low ranking. A pretty dominant win by Shelby McEwen - who had the standard before the competition. Third place finisher Wilson doesn't have the standard and is ranked in the 40s.

Yep, it's gonna be very interesting. Heat might not be too big a factor (80 and very dry right now), but the question is whether there's anyone willing to push it early, and I tend to doubt it.
I'm going to make a bold prediction here right now.
If Kessler runs extremely well in this 8 final (and I believe he will and can possibly win), Vincent Ciattei might find himself on an Olympic team. This comes from a few whispers I have heard over the last couple of days....
Say he runs 1:43.1, and finishes a clear second to Hoppel. Does that fit your speculation?
(I mean, considering how great he's looked, yeah, it's not crazy to think he'd have a better shot at 8 than 15.)
