I feel great about how Hocker and Kessler look. I absolutely prefer it to the flat and tired look of a guy in heavy training. By "it will be interesting to see if they look as sharp in August," I'm just acknowledging what I think we all know . . . that not every young stud who needs to run well at US trials is able to hold their peak for two months (or five or six weeks or whatever).
Conversely, a guy who has looked amazing for most of the past year and doesn't have to worry about a Trials performance has no reason to look sharp racing at the end of June.
