In your dreams. She didn’t get robbed. She wasn’t the only one impeded and wouldn’t have made that team anyway. It’s Sage that’s the dirty racer not ESP. You’re so obviously full of BS and jealousy. And yes Sage finally got a taste of her own medicine. sHE WENT HOME
You can thank Mr arrogance himself Ritz for instilling these obnoxious attitudes. Sorry but Andrews and Hurta both have this “I’m better than the others” arrogance. Hurta showed her true colors at Trials and I’m not impressed.
OK, so you think they're both pretty. That's not their fault!
Why do people hate her so much? I've said it before about this trials and I'll say it again: Sage Hurta-Klecker got dealt a pretty rough hand. Some of us may be able to handle anger and frustration without showing any of that on camera, but it's completely understandable in interviews.
In the 1500m heat, too, I saw more of ESP being a bulldozer and attempting to cut in on nonexistent space, and then not taking the push back when it was a very obvious back and forth.
Feels like kicking down to make an entire thread about someone who had every right to be upset and probably only showed a fraction of the emotions felt. Any arrogance cited is perceived but the behaviors I witnessed were only reactive to situations that clearly were out of her control.
No excuse for her acting like the world owes her something. Her anger shouldn’t be taken out on other people just trying to race. She showed her true colors. Not a fan

This entire thread full of haters reeks of entitlement, anger, jealousy, and boredom. Take a look in the mirror maybe…why are you all so hateful? Are people not allowed to show emotion for a spot at the Olympics!
Like we get it haters, you’re not good enough to be there so you’re mad that an athlete has emotion about being disappointed!

I don't think she needs hate, but I don't like in the interview when she said she "should" have made the teams last few years. She should be saying "could" because she hasn't ever made a team to be saying that statement.
First acting like she lost some kind of medal because of Mu. Then dropping F bombs in interviews all pissy like someone owed her something. The forcefully shoving Elle in the 1500 for no reason. Thankful this OAC drama queen is finally gone. Not sure who she thinks she is.
Too much of a drama queen. Still don’t understand what Ritz saw in her besides her being married to Klecker.
She’s a good runner (had a great season in 2022). 1:57, 4:01. Has legimate pro chops. She’s extraordinarily intelligent and genuinely nice. Tell us about your qualifications.
lol, just watched the video and ESP deserved every bit of that and frankly more based on her second manuever inside. Sage has always been a sweet person, not understanding people here.
Bumping was 100% Sage’s fault. Elle held her line and was in front of her and she shoved Elle. Zero sympathy for her not making the final here and she nearly took out a legitimate medal threat.

You did not watch that video correctly. Reminds me of when people blamed mo Ahmed for tripping Fisher during the worlds 10000m final in 2022 when in fact it was Krop who cut him off.
Elle starting cutting into Sage’s space on the turn so Sage start tapping her. Elle continued so Sage pushed her out hard. Elle than proceeded to cut her off and Sage shoved her back.
If Elle wasn’t at fault, why did she receive a yellow card from the officials? On the official results you idiots don’t know how to look at facts, straight up stupid emotional incompetence.

I 100% watched that correctly. Elle was on the line between lane 1 and lane 2 the entire time, Sage ran up on her elbow, didn’t like that there wasn’t space, and then full arm extension shoved Elle. Elle was very lucky not to have fallen. Only then did Elle go back and intentionally cut Sage off, hence Elle’s warning. Sage really just should have been DQ’d. Embarrassing Olympic Trials for her. I had always been a fan but I am now no longer.
Just watched that mixed zone interview as well. That was embarrassing for her. She is totally in denial about being one of the 3 best 800 meter runners. Totally comes across as entitled. You got tripped. It sucks. It will make you determined to bounce back. That’s all you have to say! The fact is that she is a consistent performer through most of the season but has never found the ability to get that extra something in a championship race. She’s never going to make a team.
Whether or not you agree with what she said in the interview, if the sport is to grow criticising runners for showing emotion, expressing their opinions and having personalities isn’t the way we should be going about things. Disagree with what she said all you want, but if you’re gonna have a go at her for speaking out then we’ll end up with just another robot, which doesn’t benefit anyone.

I haven’t posted about Sage and honestly don’t have an opinion about her past week. But if track wants to be taken seriously as a pro sport, this criticism of “haters” has to go.
In the UK soccer and rugby are the two best supported pro sports and the players take a brutal beating from fans and media if they screw up, say something controversial, or just lose a big game. These sports are popular because fans and media are invested in the outcomes and the personalities.
Players and coaches are criticised freely and no one doing so gets accused of being a wannabe soccer or rugby player. We all played both sports as kids and I certainly hold no grudge that the guys who went pro were better than me.
Track athletes seem to want to be an exception where their actions and interviews aren’t allowed to be critiqued. This doesn’t sound like a pro sport to me.
