It really does not take drugs to run 1:43. Hobbs is a guy that closed the Michigan in 50 and that was years ago. Running 1:43 and 3:31 to make the team could not happen to a better guy and a better coach. I am happy to see it. This is becoming the golden era for U.S. middle distance and I have been waiting since I was a kid to see us even be competitive again.

Only if you’re Algerian! And I’m not even sure Moula/Sedjati are clean (Sedjatis background is a complete mystery), but the reaction to 1:43s is wild. Let’s all reset our expectations in the event. There’re gonna be a lot of 1:42s coming soon and the top 2 of 3 are going to be hitting 1:41s like Seb Coe did 45 years ago,
And that's how you go from "guy who might make the team" to "guy who might medal in Paris"!
Are you talking in the 800 or 1500? Let’s not get ahead of ourselves…he was closer to Vince than the top 2 in the 1500. And those guys are considered top contenders for bronze not slam dunks. In the 800, Arop and Wanyonyi have a similar Kerr-Jakob dynamic and Sedjati looks a step above a large group with Hoppel and a few others.
